Because, I don’t throw away food, I serve it to my family and friends. So, today, I wanted to show you a very simple recipe, which needs no introduction by me. It’s one of the most popular recipes, “How To Make A Boxed Cake Mix In The Air Fryer.”

It’s a very simple recipe, all you need to do is find a cake mix that you like. if you want homemade from scratch recipes, I have one for chocolate and one for vanilla. Both are equally awesome, althoughsince I’m a chocolate person (really a chocolatelover, of all things chocolate), I would prefer the chocolate one on my birthday. Next, prepare your cake pan. I use a special cake pan that came in my air fryer accessory kit which works perfectly. You don’t have to use that particular cake pan. But the size of your air fryer does matter. Using an air fryer cake barrel is very simple. First, preheat the air fryer to the desired cooking temperature. Then, place the food in the air fryer basket and set the timer. When the timer is done, remove the food from the air fryer and enjoy your perfectly cooked meal. 4. What types of foods can you cook in an air fryer cake barrel?

Now just fill up the pan with your cake batter until it is a little over halfway full. If you have a cake strip, soak it in water, wring it out, then place it around your pan.

Curry Paste - I use a balti paste - which is medium heat. You can replace with your favourite Indian curry paste. Butter– Unsalted butter works best in baking, as you can add the salt separately. Which gives you full control. Just make sure it’s at room temperature/soft before you begin baking. Heat Resistance: The mould is heat resistant up to 230°C, making it suitable for use in the oven. This high heat resistance expands the range of recipes you can try. First, let me explain exactly what an air fryer is. Air fryers are medium-sized kitchen appliances that are essentially mini convection ovens. They have a coil heating element at the top inside the unit which heats up. Yep, the air fryer doesn't have to be used only for dry foods. You can make saucy foods too. You just need one additional piece of equipment - a cake barrel insert (more on this later).

Do not over mix the batter. Beat only until the ingredients have blended together, and there are no more visible streaks of flour. If you overdo it – your air fryer cake may end up dense and chewy. My second favorite pan? The 6” round, which holds half the batter of an 8” square/round or 9” round, or one-quarter that of a sheet cake. Cake Strips– are nice but they are optional. They help to keep the cake level when baking instead of doming in the middle.

After the cake has finished baking, remove it from the air fryer and place the pan on a hot pad. Allow the warm cake to cool for about 10 minutes. Allow your cake to cool completely before you add the icing and jam. Otherwise things will get VERY messy! This is the cake mix, that I found out works best in the Air Fryer. It was really moist, and delicious. Versatility - Air fryers can be used to cook a wide variety of foods, including vegetables, meats, and even desserts. Convenience in Storage and Cleaning: It includes a handy lid for storing your treats, and the mould is dishwasher-safe for cleaning. Alternatively, it can be hand-washed with warm, soapy water, offering flexibility in maintenance.

My favorite pan for air fryer cakes is a half-size Bundt pan (about 3-cup working capacity). With its center tube funneling hot air not just around the edges of the cake but through its center, it’s a better match for the air fryer’s convection baking than the standard round cake pan. As for capacity, it holds a typical recipe calling for an 8” square, 8” round, or 9” round pan; or half of a sheet cake recipe ( 9” x 13” pan). Flour– I use self raising flour. If you only have plain/all purpose flour, mix 120g (3/4 Cup + 1/8 Cup) with 1.5 tsp of baking powder. Then use as per the recipe. Note, you will still need to add the extra 1/2 tsp of baking powder, as listed in the ingredients.
