While Dog Man leaves for work, Li'l Petey mistakes Mrs. Suspicionflame as his papa. The lady says she is not his papa. She says she can sing songs about how much fun it is to clean up his room and stuff. Li'l Petey demands her to prove it and sing to him. When Petey went to the Cannery Grow, he finds Dippy working there and he shout for a cannery grow. Dippy has trouble counting from 1 to 10 because during the first book, Petey made the words of the books disappear and it made Dippy brainless. Petey yells at her to hurry up and it made Dippy lose count and she had to start all over. 22 minutes Dippy finally got to 10 and Petey was so tired. He asked for a cannery grow, but Dippy asked him 3 questions and Petey kept yelling "No!" and yelled at Dippy. Dippy told Petey that he was not a very nice guy and that she was doing her job. Then it made her sad that she said "All I wanted to do was help you." When she started crying she said "I tried my best but..." She started blubbering sadly " Ya didn't have to be so mean!" "All ya had to do was ask nicely" "I Have feelings ya know." Petey aplogizes and asks nicely for a cannery grow and Dippy tells him dumbly that they are closed. Petey took one of them rudely which makes Dippy want to call 9-1-1. But she never succeeds. Dog Man is one of the best comedic graphic novel series ever written. This graphic novel series for children came out in 2016, and it is still ongoing. These graphic novels are recommended for Reading Level in Grades 1-3 (USA), ages 6+ in the UK. But, this is a fun read for all ages.

In Dog Man and Cat Kid, Li'l Petey is staying with Dog Man, who is having trouble getting to work while taking care of Li'l Petey. Petey shows up, disguised as a nanny, and Dog Man happily leaves Li'l Petey with this random babysitter. Li'l Petey knows this nanny is his papa, and they spend time together. Petey spends all his time trying to convince Li'l Petey to become evil. Li'l Petey refuses to do anything more than pretending to be evil. Irreverent, laugh-out-loud funny and—gosh darn it—downright moving”— Publishers Weekly ,starred review Sam shows Dog Man a picture of actress Yolay Caprese, when suddenly, Yolay enters. Sam introduces Yolay to Chief and Dog Man. Yolay sends Dog Man to become her bodyguard and she'll reward him with tummy rubs. Yolay leads the group to the movie studio, while Dog Man intentionally swallows Yolay's picture, much to Chief's dismay. George and Harold are in fifth grade, and are now reading East of Eden, which inspired them to create a new Dog Man book. Imagine my glee when, a decade later, I find a comic book by the same authors in the university bookstore.

I used to love reading Captain Underpants when I was little, until my mother forced me to stop because they were "too immature." Action and mystery abound on the movie set in the fourth Dog Man book from worldwide bestselling author and artist Dav Pilkey. This was hilarious and as always I loved Petey. Petey is my favorite but I also loved Li'l Petey in this. Art was good. I can't wait to read the next in the series. The following versions of the books were used to create this study guide: Pilkey, Dav. Dog Man: A Tale of Two Kitties. Graphix, Scholastic, New York, 2017. Kindle AZW file. Pilkey, Dav. Dog Man and Cat Kid. Graphix, Scholastic, New York, 2018. Kindle AZW file. While Mrs. Suspicionflame sings, Lil Petey removes the wig off her head, revealing that Mrs. Suspicionflame is actually Petey in disguise and continues to fix 80-HD. Petey discovers that 80-HD has solar panels and no missiles. LP explains that 80-HD doesn't need missiles, because he thinks 80-HD is his friend, but Petey claims that 80-HD is not his friend. 80-HD obeys Li'l Petey, but it doesn't mean it his friend, Petey states. Petey wants to have a talk with Li'l Petey, and he'll buy him some ice cream.

The Cat Kid Comic Club learns to collaborate in this creative, funny, and insightful graphic novel by Dav Pilkey, the author and illustrator of Dog Man. Will these heroes stay hot on the trail, or will they be thrown off the scent and start barking up the wrong tree? One morning at the doghouse, Li'l Petey is fixing 80-HD, while Dog Man gets a phone call from Chief, telling him he's late to work and demands him to get there now. Suddenly, a lady stops by at Dog Man's doghouse. The lady happens to be Mrs. Suspicionflame, the world's greatest babysitter. The sitter says she specializes in cat-sitting and can start today. Meanwhile, Petey has escaped from cat jail and created a clone of himself, expecting that the clone will become his trusted butler. Instead, Petey creates a kitten. Petey expects Li'l Petey to become a villain, but Li'l Petey is kind and good. Petey abandons Li'l Petey, and Dog Man takes the kitten. Later, Petey feels bad for his actions and actually puts himself in danger to save Li'l Petey and Dog Man from Flippy and his army of beastly buildings. By the time Li'l Petey helps Flippy become good, Dog Man arrests Petey for escaping from jail. When a new kitty sitter arrives and a glamorous movie starlet goes missing, it's up to Dog Man and Cat Kid to save the day! Petey is trying to make his son turn evil, and Sarah reports the first shooting of The Dog-Man. Then come Ding-Dong Magoo as Dog Man, Yolay Caprese as Sarah, Samson J. Johnson as "Chief", and Scooter McRibs as Petey. The Crew shows Mrs. Suspicionflame and Sarah, and Li'l Petey and Zuzu around. Mrs. Suspicionflame (Petey), had made Sarah look out to steal the remote after the guy leaves for lunch. Petey dumped the old lady disguise and created a really evil costume for him and Li'l Petey. That was the origin of "Cat Kid".

What a marvelous concept. So entertaining, beautifully drawn." — Marie Arana, Literary Director, Library of Congress If there's one thing that I know that this world needs more of right now, it's more Dav Pilkey."— Colby Sharp, Teacher, Founder of Nerdy BookClub This book is appropriate for young children because there are few words. I think the illustrations of this book are great for children because they are not the most extravagant. I also think this book allows children to open their creative mind. Dog Man is a crime-fighting hero with the head of a dog named Greg and the body of a cop named Officer Knight. The Chief at the police station often refers to Dog Man as the best cop on the force. As Dog Man, A Tale of Two Kitties, opens, Dog Man assumes the task of guarding scientists who are studying Flippy the fish. Flippy was an evil fish that Dog Man defeated in the previous graphic novel of the series, and the scientists want to learn about Flippy, including his telekinetic powers. Before they can begin their work, Dog Man rolls around on Flippy, further damaging the body. The scientists rebuild Flippy, making him into a robotic fish. They plan to begin their study the following day and leave Dog Man to guard Flippy. As they leave, a lamp falls over, striking the table and throwing Flippy through a window. Dav Pilkey has been writing hilarious fun adventures for a decade now, Dav is the creator of Captain Underpants, brings you the fourth installment in his Dog man series.Finishing this book as solidified my previous statement of this being a work of art. The simplistic art melded with wonderful storytelling really made this a favorite. Cat Kids villain arc and subsequent redemption arc has to be one of my favorite developments in fiction. I truly felt hatred for Petey and his manipulation of Cat Kid. Emotions were conveyed incredibly and made me feel for each and every one of the characters, especially Dog Man when he was called a “bad boy” (which he is not, of course). Dog Mans emotional expression was one of my favorites, he doesn’t talk so it’s all conveyed through body language and expression, and it is done so artfully. I also believe this book handles social issues well, including the sexism Yolay experienced at the hand of the director and Peteys negative view of robots. This book was also very inclusive of all different types of species (people, italians, cats, dogs, robots). I really loved Cat Kids and 80-HDs relationship and development as well. The lesson at the end of the book almost made me tear up. Dog Man: A Tale of Two Kitties and Cat Kid Summary & Study Guide includes comprehensive information and analysis to
