CO ITU Version[0]: Vendor code of the exchange / cabinet equipment CO ITU Version[1]: Vendor code of the exchange / cabinet equipment (continued) By providing a PPPoE bridge, the connected device (firewall, router or PC) can log into the Internet (your ISP) directly and have full control over the Internet connection - that makes the Vigor 130 a unique product. You can connect any device to the Vigor 130 which has a PPPoE client facility, which includes PCs, most Ethernet-WAN routers and the Apple Airport/Time Capsule™ products. Ensure you select "Enable" using the radio button from the top left corner to enable the PPPoE connection type. We have upgraded the system architecture for MyVigor server, and now require your help to complete the upgrade process. I imagine it might be possible via more advanced configuration somehow, can settle with just setting it on the actual device when I need to for the moment.

Vigor 130 Setup with DrayTek routers Vigor 130 Setup with DrayTek routers

What I've learnt so far is the vigor 130 is not connected as the dsl light keeps flashing on and off and there is no connected status in the draytek interface. Whats the recommend modem/router with bridge mode, something likeZyxel VMG1312? i don't need any wireless features. Setting up Internet access via a Vigor 130 modem is a straightforward process so hopefully everything should go smoothly. However, below are a few tips that cover some possibilities: Now go to [Internet Access] > [MPoA / Static or Dynamic IP] and enable the MPoA (RFC1483/2684) interface. Provides Annex A modem code 567517 & 562301, and Annex B modem code 567617 & 567212. Recommended for Germany. (G.Vectoring) 3.9.8.4-08vLSYMB This parameter reports the actual number of bits per symbol assigned to the latency path in which the bearer channel is transported. This value does not include trellis overhead. It ranges from 0 to 65535. Maximum possible value is 3825 in case of ADSL2 and 7665 in case of ADSL2+. I'm not too bothered by the Vigor 130 having a 100Mbs interface, as the fastest my FTTC runs is 73Mbps, but I did connect the Billions to my pfSense router using the 1Gbps interfaces (just because it was there).

Draytek V130-K ADSL2+/VDSL2 Ethernet Modem FTTC/BT Infinity

On the router, go to [WAN] > [General Setup] and select the WAN interface that the Vigor 130 modem is connected to. In this example, WAN2 is used on a Vigor 2866 router:Vigor 130 modems provide BT Superfast Fibre and ADSL2+ capability and feature one LAN port. This is the standard modem design. I won't specify a precise model but, yes, the general, majority, opinion is that ZyXEL devices tend to perform best. Of course there are always "corner cases" which will be the exception. There are many Broadcom chipset based VDSL2 modem/routers that can be configured for use as a modem, rather than buying an Openreach Huawei modem. Presumably an Openreach ECI modem would have similar performance to the Draytek, which both use Lantiq chipsets. An important item to note is that for the PPPoE connection a "Service Name" should not be entered. If you have this field in the configuration of the router or computer that you're using then make sure that it is left empty.

DrayTek Firmware Update Notice

Enabling Smart Queues in USG reduced buffer bloat to around 1ms, so no need for anything extra hopefully. DrayTek offer a large range of G.fast, VDSL and ADSL modem equipped router models, as well as the dedicated Vigor 130 and Vigor 166 modems. I am currently reviewing my network at home, and have just replaced my Netgear X9000 with a new Unifi network. Whilst its in the early stages i've found it much easier to control and understand how the system is behaving.

Far Current Attenuation: Upstream Line / Loop attenuation Far SNR Margin: Upstream SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) value in dB Personally I don't think you can get a more reliable modem at the moment on the market than the Vigor 130 in my opinion. Thank you for posting that Draytek explanation. I still find it difficult to understand exactly what is meant.
