The story is fine as far as it goes pushing the hunt for Mercy along, and the slightly weaker subplot of Political blackmail could have been better used, my main complaint though is the ending!

Unfortunately she inadvertently walks into a take down in progress by Army Criminal Investigation Command and the man she seeks escapes. She is a strong female protagonist who can hold her own against most and she is a relentless investigator.

It is accepted by you that Daunt Books has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. However, to get the full experience I would recommend reading Long Road to Mercy and A Minute to Midnight. In this third book in the Atlee Pine series, FBI agent Pine and John Puller have to work together to achieve their goal. This is the third of David Baldacci's FBI agent Atlee Pine series, a woman traumatised from childhood when her twin sister, Mercy, was abducted in Andersonville, Georgia.

Pine could alert the authorities, subsequently dispatching Army CID and Puller to the scene, it may have allowed her to wrest control of the plot and not make her storyline seem secondary.

Here she continues the pursuit of her missing twin sister Mercy, missing since they were 6 years old. It becomes clear that they’ve stumbled into a situation that is much larger than they first thought and the people pulling the reins have some serious clout. I haven't read the John Puller series but my husband is a fan and he was excited to see the crossover of worlds. I am currently in the middle of reading this book, like the previous two it holds ones attention, and leaves you speculating about certain things.
