I have to say I was pretty disappointed. I couldn’t taste anything at all, I turned the airflow all the way down to off and then there was a very slight hint of flavour, but nothing notable. I can feel the pattern texture when scraping my nail against it but it doesn’t seem to scratch or lift off so must be a kind of etching into the metal? The 0.6 Ohm DC coils feature a dual coil build, this means that they offer a fast ramp-up for a boost in flavour production. Although the ports are long they are only around 2mm wide – so I did find the nozzle of my bottles took a bit of shoving through them as they don’t feel wide enough. In fact I couldn’t get the gasket to open properly with my 10ml bottles which resulted in the top of the tank being covered in e-liquid. Again here we have quite an option, and actually most of those coils are pretty good for Sub-Ohm vaping. The best ones are the Prince Strip coils and the latest P-Tank Max Mesh Coils 0.17 ohm . The Strip Coil has great flavour and tends to last longer than your average coil, due to it’s Kanthal wire. The best overall performance wise, is the P-tank Max Mesh, superior over all in flavour and cloud production. This is the latest coil that Smok has released for this tank. Thanks to the square bungs covering an entire edge face the bung is easy to remove, even for us nail biters.

Pros

The majority of e-liquids are made from Propylene Glycol. This substance carries the nicotine and flavourings in your juice. PG is thinner than VG, and MTL coils are made to work with these liquids. If you use PG is sub-ohm coils, your tank is more likely to leak. With previous versions of the Smok Nord I know others have had issues with leaking pods; this hasn’t been my experience of them but may be linked to the odd dud coil. This seems to have been resolved with the Nord 4 so don’t let any leak concerns put you off. Nord 4 PROS So my advice is to use some kind of prong and pull them out as once you have done this the kit is mega simple to use.
