Description

The strong suction cups on this baby bath chair provided a stable and slip-free seat during bath time. We were pleased with how well they adhered to the bathtub’s smooth surface, eliminating any concerns about our baby slipping or the chair tipping over. Furthermore, this seat can be used in various settings, such as in a bathtub, baby pool, bathroom, or living room, making it a versatile piece of baby equipment. However, it’s crucial to note that this baby bath chair requires a flat and stable surface to function correctly. Additionally, it’s not suitable for placement on uneven or unstable surfaces and has a maximum weight capacity of 20kg. Differing from traditional baby baths, baby bath seats can be placed in your regular bathtub, making them super accessible and perfect for helping children become more comfortable in the water. And as they suction to your tub, they are an ultra-safe option that will keep kids in one place (no matter how determined they are to wriggle away). Babies have delicate skin. The batch water should be warm, not hot. Lotions, cream and washes are not recommended for at least the first 4 weeks.

With so many ‘must buy’ baby products on the market these days, is a bath support a necessity? "A baby bath seat or support is ideal as your baby grows and can make bath time more fun as baby is in a more upright position, able to see and interact more, and splash around," says Anna. "When choosing a baby bath seat, look for something comfortable, and something that's easy to clean. You don't want too many nooks and crannies where mould can build up. You also want something that's easy to take baby in and out of, even when they are squirming, wet and slippery." However, no product is flawless, and if you'd ask us to point out some design issues, we would say that the suction cups aren't very strong and might not cater to very active babies. Do not use this bath seat once your child is able to stand up (approximately 12 months, maximum weight 10 kg).

However, we did find the assembly process to be a bit challenging initially. It’s important for users to consult the manual and ensure they’re assembling the product correctly to guarantee its stability and safety. Additionally, the product is currently only available in pink, which may not be appealing to all parents. We also noticed slight measuring deviations in the product size, but it didn’t impact the overall functionality of the bath seat.

But what really sells the product is its h ygienic properties. Unlike most other models that hold water in the bottom and require to be popped up after each use, this one is cleverly designed with drain holes in the seat, allowing soapy water to pass through with zero effort from you. Thus, no water will collect inside and turn into mould.

Bath safety for babies

In terms of design, there are various options available, such as swivel seats or those with adjustable height settings. Consider your baby’s specific needs and preferences when selecting the appropriate design. But bear in mind that even though a bath seat keeps babies seated, they still need to be under the supervision of an adult. Also, you should follow some rules and tips to make bathing as safe as possible. When buying a baby bath seat or support, you also need to consider the space you have to store them, as once you have storage for bath toys, it leaves a little less room. When can I start using bath seats? When you clean your baby bath toys, you can also clean the bath seat the same way. Simply fill your bath with warm water, throw in a sterilising tablet and after a few hours, drain and rinse the seat and allow to air dry. Bath seats can provide a safe and comfortable bathing experience for babies, as long as they are used properly. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for assembly, usage and weight limits. It’s crucial to never leave your baby unattended while using a bath seat, and always maintain a close eye on them during their bath time. What features should I look for in a bath seat?

Only when children start bathing in an upright position rather than lying down are they able to maintain their balance independently and enjoy bathing to the fullest while splashing and playing with their toys. The Angelcare Soft Touch Bath Seat is a nice-looking and comfy product designed with both babies and parents in mind. Made from lightweight plastic and a soft-touch TPE material, it can provide your baby with a very comfortable experience during bath time. The nonskid design ensures that the seat will not slip easily and the four big suction cups at the bottom keep it securely in place. We found it straightforward to detach and store, perfect for busy, on-the-go families. We have many of these great products in-store at our Bristol Showroom, come and take a look! Safety 1st Cots and Cribs We all know just how slippery a baby in the bath can be, which is why the NHS recommends using baby bath seats. Using a bath seat during your bath time routine can help to prevent accidents. They offer more grip between your precious bubba and the tub, which lessens the chance of them slipping and sliding around the tub and potentially hurting themselves. However, it's important to emphasise that they still should not be left alone in the bath at any point. One of the key selling points of the Dosulou Toddler Bath Seat is its versatility. This stool can be used in conjunction with a bathtub or shower, in the bathroom or living room, making it a practical addition to your home. For a fun, safe and comfortable bath time experience for babies and parents, investing in the best baby bath seats or supports can be a huge help and really make a difference to support both of them, especially whilst they're using a baby bath tub.
