Bank, house, bills, funeral service, cat, and the treasured items from their father’s life must all be dealt with. When such an emergency occurs, which fortunately is rare, whereby several casualties arrive at the same time. The premise is basic, and yet through the different perspectives we really get an insight into the characters and their motives and thoughts. Caro and Max were the only characters with any true redeeming features, both driven by the strength that most readers develop as a result of not having life too smooth.

By using this service you thereby indemnify this Company, its employees, agents and affiliates against any loss or damage, in whatever manner, howsoever caused. The way the money was found could be compared with looking under a stone, revealing character traits and personality differences never seen before. But Caroline is the one guarding the suitcase, and she's insisting to Max that they take it to the police. I received a free advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

Faith Hogan, bestselling author of The Ladies' Midnight Swimming Club What happens when you drop a bag of cash right in the middle of three siblings and their families? We both share a deep love and understanding for one another and fully respect each other’s decisions. I sat there for a moment or two with what must have been a puzzled look before hearing Louise say, ‘Anything of interest? From letters signed by Disney himself to classic children’s books or ephemera, be sure to check out some of the collectible Walt Disney books on Biblio! When Caroline’s father in law passes away and someone has to go back to the house to find his cat, she rises to the challenge. She went back to university to study English Literature whilst the children were at school, and then tried her hand at writing novels herself. Anstey Harris, bestselling author of The Truths and Triumphs of Grace Atherton Imogen Clark deftly peels back the layers of loyalty, family secrets, and moral dilemma to examine a family that must make a choice between need, greed, and integrity. An evening spent in a London hotel with my favourite man with all expenses paid, I find quite appealing.

The decision as to what to do with this unexpected windfall poses a moral dilemma and differing points of view which threaten to destroy the tight bonds of family and friendship. When it falls to Max and his wife Caroline to clear his house out, she finds a suitcase full of money! For a story about an apparently ordinary suburban family, this is every bit as exhilarating as the recent James Patterson I’ve just finished, but with better characterisation and a twist worthy of a thriller. As an established fan of Imogen's books I wasn't surprised that it dealt with issues all of us may face at one time or another.

With that, a quick hug and a kiss that was all too short, I found myself exiting the front door and running towards my cars parking space. I don’t know if it was the mind frame I was in but this book didn’t grip me like I thought it might from the synopsis. The story is filled with moral dilemmas and explores relationships between eh siblings, as well as the couples.

This is such a quick and entertaining read which kept me guessing - one part had me gasping with shock - if you know you know! Pacey, thought provoking, and with characters that test the ties of blood, marriage, and friendship to the limit, An Unwanted Inheritance will have you wondering how far you'd go to uphold your own principles-and how much, or how little, it would take to betray them. The road to the solution was a roller coaster ride with many twists and turns and at times the problem seemed unsolvable. You will find yourself reflecting on your own ethics but I’m not sure if you will find the novel very enjoyable or entertaining. What Clark does well is to describe and develop the characters, and the hidden dislike and resentment between them.Brimful of emotion-a wonderful plot and characters that you are rooting for, even when you know you shouldn't. During this time, he regained consciousness although he had no recollection as to what had happened. On the Saturday afternoon we went and played tennis and, on the Sunday joined another couple for a competitive game of golf. The narrative then travels back a few months to set the scene, letting the reader find out more about the three siblings and their financial circumstances. By the end, the accountant in me was SCREAMING (even though I'm sure diving into capital gains tax is not something the average reader would enjoy!
