Fragrances like 'Amazing Grace' are the perfect example as to why I really wish that Fragrantica had an option that allowed us to judge a scent as being 'meh'. A way of saying that we don't like nor dislike a fragrance. Because sometimes we can smell something and think, well it's not UNpleasant, but I can't say that I really like it. I can't believe there are 3 citruses listed here as notes, I barely smell any, just a bit of bergamot for a few fleeting minutes. I really don't smell jasmine either, it's just "white floral" (so "freesia" works, because that's exactly how freesia always seems to me). I also get 0 rose (if you want a clean rose&musk try Lazy Sunday Morning), truly all I smell here is musk and freesia. I'll have to try this one again in the summer. Maybe the soapy smell will come out more in the heat? I hope.

This fragrance gives me similar vibes of Blanche (Byredo), I don't know if I could call it a dupe of its own but certainly lovers of the genre should consider it as an affordable option. At first I hated it. Upon first spray all I could detect was a sharp smell of chemicals almost like hair spray. After a while when it had settled down it turned to a floral soapy freshness. I don’t really smell any jasmine on me it smells more like lily of the valley.. maybe its my chemistry or my poor recognition of notes I was probably 4 or 5 years old, at my auntie's cottage in St-Côme QC, when I smelled my first water lily.

About

it's extremely feminine and would suit a young woman under 40 (or a youthful female) because it doesn't have the complexity or depth of a mature fragrance. for work, the soap makes it inoffensive but I personally would not wear at work for fear of not being taken seriously since its very simple and girly. I can see some people voted it was like baby grace.i have both and say no, this one has far more white florals and zingy citrus and freesia. baby grace is more musky and powdery and not zingy at all. Pure Grace gets a bad rap for its limited sillage and longevity for good reason, but in my experience it draws regular compliments from people who enter or come close to my space bubble long after I cease to perceive it. I even have a handful of friends and loved ones who go out of their way to greet me with a hug just to get a whiff of my collarbone (my go-to application spot), even after I’ve spritzed it on 6 or 8 hours prior. I like the idea that people don’t smell me (read: my loud perfume) when I simply walk into a room. 😬 Top is super short-lived. Citrus for literally the first 2 seconds .. so fleeting I can’t really distinguish which citrus is present. (If I had to guess, mostly bergamot?) There’s also a brief, spicy, slightly green floral note. The rest of the wear is a fairly linear mix of slightly sweet florals and powdery musk. It definitely fits in with Philosophy’s “Grace” line .. that signature “clean”/musky accord forms the base of the fragrance. I love the smell of fresh sheets and clothes imbued with the scent of the sun and the wind they've dried in. This fragrance captures that perfectly. It's an instant clean, fresh water feeling. Just lovely. Soft, powdery, soapy floral. So soapy! So powdery! This is close to being one of those ideal just-out-of-the shower scents. Or your just-drifting-off-to-sleep scents. Or your damn!-everyone-keeps-telling-me-I-smell-clean-and-fresh scents. And - honestly - we all need at least one or two of those scents in our collection.

In saying that, wearing this helps me fool myself into thinking I am a well-rounded, cultured, kind, approachable woman who always wears white cotton or linen and maintains a spotless home (Ahahahahaha - dreams!). this holiday, share your grace with everyone you embrace with the philosophy amazing grace eau de toilette collection featuring three luxurious ways to enjoy the iconic soft floral perfume. includes:It’s definately not my favorite but mind you I usually only wear gourmands/oriental/spicy/green scents. I’m not really a lover of fresh scents but I grab this after a shower for the feeling of extra freshness or on a productive day. It does have a very sharp opening still, but it settles down after a minute or two.

Ignore the above votes that say this reminds them of Jennifer Aniston's debut perfume. It smells NOTHING like it. Absolutely nothing. The scent by "Clean," I've never smelled but I would bet money that it smells identical to that one. But not Jennifer Aniston. If you have Big size bottles of both "Amazing grace" and "Pure Grace "in the same times, you may get bored of them very easily like "When they will run out, for god sake", I experienced it!, because they don't give much diifrent feeling when you wear each of them Lightly and soft, yet longevity are so long (12hrs it still lingers on your skin), but poor sillage, spray on your clothes can help to show more smell

More From Feelunique

I can understand why some people love this perfume. The right body chemistry seems to mute those screechy notes, warms the whole thing up and turns this fragrance into something beautiful. My body chemistry doesn’t seem to mesh with this at all. Not sure why people are upset that this smells like fabric refresher or laundry, when it says right on the bottle, that's pretty much what it's supposed to be like? Anyway, highly recommend for clean scent lovers who are ok with lavender! Sillage is light but longevity is really good for me (5-7 hours), which is impressive considering it's an edt! I've never tried or smelled the EDP, so I can't compare them. But when I do, I'll write an update. I'm not sure if I'll like the EDP better because it was a rose note, and I'm not a fan of a rose accord. But we'll see! I do like this perfume but I don't love it like I thought I would. I wanted a real fresh laundry smell. If anyone knows of a perfume that smells like straight up laundry please let me know about it!
