This story is a journey. We see so much growth in Luca, and I loved how patient and loving Griffin was with her. I also enjoyed the way that the heroines condition was portrayed. It wasn't something you see in every book. Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan narrated this audiobook and it was a joy to listen to. I would definitely recommend the audio. I loved the chemistry and connection of these characters and I especially enjoyed their friendship, as well as their romance.

The addictive dual POV storyline had lots of delicious feels.. and a few heartbreaking ones too.. but the absolute perfection of the narration by two well-loved actors made this a seriously impressive audiobook that I wish I could give ten stars to. Reed was a total jerk. So bad, he made the fun and vivacious Charlotte run crying to the bathroom where she met a lovely older woman who offered her a job. When she found out the job is at Reed’s company, the banter began. This is less of an issue with older generations, who tend to interpret text messages at face value. If someone replies “OK”, they assume it means they’re actually OK. Whereas a person my age (I’m 26) is more likely to think the brevity of the response means the sender is annoyed. Voice notes bypass the slightly exhausting code of texting etiquette that can make it a minefield. As for Reed, he is one of those heroes who pushes the girl away all along the book. He wants her but he thinks he shouldn’t have her so he pushes her away all the time. Meanwhile, he gets all alpha and possessive when he thinks she is going to date with someone else. "I can't have her but nobody else can have her" mentality - so very cliché!When Reed finds out who Charlotte's biological mother is, guess what? She is dying. Chronic illness.

It’s rare for me to love a female character, but Charlotte managed to make it on the list. She was funny and kooky which made her highly lovable. The air typing thing was priceless haha!
