As you will know if you have read our previous Little Tikes reviews, I always avoid the construction element of these toys where ever possible as I am the least coordinated person you will ever meet. My little guys still doesn't get dropping balls inside but nice to know he'll have more stuff to do in a few months. Over the last few weeks and months we have gone from crawling to standing and cruising to now standing a little on her own, and as of last week, she has started to take those adorable first few unaided steps. This is quite a large product so if you are in a one bedroom flat with limited storage this probably isn’t the toy for you.

Oh no, I can't go and box it out because the teeny screws and teeny tiny screw driver has left me with hand cramps! That said, it can be used over quite a long time span with your child, and as such, I believe it is good value for money.

Collect Fireflies: Interactive game where the lights escape from the magic lantern to the floor; encouraging Baby to “catch the fireflies" and safely bring them back to the lantern. There are so many places and contraptions to put the balls, they go in the birds beak or the monkeys feet and roll down one slide and drop to another slide, etc or they go in the mail box or they go in the giraffe's mouth and rolls down the giraffes back the off its tail or else down its legs- so many more ways to play - this toy is awesome - it is sturdy - it colors are great, its music is so cute, there are two volume options and an option for no sound - I am so happy with this toy- totally totally totally worth it! Some of the things my kids and I love: All things Disney, laughing, cuddling, watching movies together, Disneyland, playing at the park, loving on all the animals in our tiny zoo, swimming, traveling, playing, dancing around the house, cookies, and singing with reckless abandon.If you have an older sibling like we do, it is great to watch the two of them play together, and observe Erin trying to teach Neve how the ramps work, or how to press the buttons on the music station.

You do need a small screwdriver to fix the pieces in to place, but all the screws are included in a little bag. The lights point toward the floor and spin and my baby tried to grab at them like a kitty chasing a light!

My husband is great at building things and it was definitely a pain to put together and very time consuming. Not only does it expand as baby grows but boasts three modes of play: Explore Colours, Dance Party and Collect Fireflies. I happened to have one (included in another toy packaging from another brand- they had the courtesy to include it) and it still won't tighten the screws enough!
