Pandora Hearts was published from 2006-2015 in Square Enix's Monthly GFantasy, and was written and illustrated by Jun Mochizuki. The story revolves around Oz Vessalius, whose coming of age ceremony is ruined, and Oz gets sent to the Abyss. He later escapes after going into a contract with the chain Alice, and things only get better from there. Pandora Hearts is my second favorite manga of all times and it's dark, deep, beautiful, bittersweet and perfect and they're all cute babies who must be protected *sobbing forever*. This is like Fruits Basket shonen version. I loved the main trio, I loved the supporting characters, the cute and innocent, the dark and gray ones, and I absolutely loved the villain so, so much. It's been years since I read this and I haven't forgotten one single thing. That's how good this is. I am not much of a fan of Alice in Wonderland, but I like the themes and the symbols of that story a lot so this was perfect since Jun Mochizuki used those elements and created an entirely new story. I finally did it, and it was so worth it! The Pandora Hearts boxset is absolutely beautiful I'm so excited to read this series What better than re-reading PH manga and in a special edition? Worth every penny, the art is so lovely!

I especially love the coloured illustrations. The panels make the story flow amazingly well. I think that is my favourite part about the presentation of this story. I loved how each scene was presented. If you like well done, addicting plots and complex cuties, and super complex villains, just read it. I promise you won't regret! Mochizuki's writing, storytelling and art are amazing. The story of Pandora Hearts is more than what it seems at the beginning, and has a lot of great character moments and developments, and great characters for that matter. The artwork is at first pretty good, and by the end, it's beautiful. Pandora Hearts is my favorite series of all time. I've read it several times, and after finishing it the 5th time via the PandoraBox premium box set, I'm here to tell you why. Re-reading the first volume and I've realized how much I miss these characters. All of them. I love everything in this manga: the story is amazing and filled with twists and there's so much pain it hurts. It will tear your heart into little pieces and make you crave for more.

Details

This was a real surprise. It started of as a confusing story with what seemed like generic characters, but became a complex tale full of symbolism and well developed beings. The RRP is the suggested or Recommended Retail Price of a product, set by the publisher or manufacturer. The only complain I have is that sometimes there were jokes in the middle of serious and sad scenes that didn't fit the mood and the ending is also not perfect... it wasn't bad, but it was not as good as I wanted it to be.
