Main Objective: Name five things related to the category in the cards and reach Name 5 space first to win.

The All play symbol features two colors beneath it. When a team’s pawn stops at All play space, they choose a color from these two and the other team plays corresponding to the other color. Colors are chosen before seeing the card. Name 5 is a simple, family party game from The Green Board Game Co. Players are given a category and have to name five things that fit into it. It sounds simple but is harder than you think once you start playing. ComponentsYour child will love testing their general knowledge with this fun naming game. Print the game board then grab a dice. Your child can play alone or friends and family can join in. Take it in turns to roll the dice and move around the board. On each turn, the player will need to name five things. When one team is unable to name another Challenge item, the team that named the last item gets a free roll, moves that number of spaces, and then rolls again and takes the next turn.

Start the timer, and name the items. If your team is successful, you roll the die and move double the number rolled on the die. This space is almost like any other, except that when a team stops at a Wild space they can read all the categories and decide which Name 5 challenge they want to take. Wild: If your team lands on a Wild space, an opposing team or player reads out all five categories on the card and then they choose which category your team answers. If your team correctly names five items for that challenge, you get to play again even if this was your third turn in a row. Now one player from each team silently reads the card. When the timer is on, they announce their categories to the respective team members. Both teams go at the same time and the first one to complete the Name 5 challenge wins the next turn. These questions will allow your class to learn more about each other as they answer, and have fun together thinking of five unique answers to each question. As well as in in-class game, it's great for family time too - it's ideal for Grade 4 learners and upwards. All Play: The All Play spaces have two colors below the symbol. If you land on an All Play card, you get to choose which color category to play without looking at the card, and the opposing team plays the other. One player from each team reads the category, and when both are ready, they announce it to the rest of their team. The first team to name five items for their category wins and gets to take the next go but if neither team can complete it, the round is repeated with a new card. These questions are the perfect opportunity for students to develop gratitude and learn more about themselves and others, too, as they have fun. It can also be a great discussion starter as you can expand on the questions given. It can be used with learners of all ages as a bit of fun. Note : A variation to the All Play is to have each team simply shout out ONE answer to their Name 5 challenge. The first team to "Name 1" wins the round.

It can also enhance their vocabulary. They might be able to think of something but not know what it is called. They can describe it to you and you can figure out what it is and tell them the name for it, therefore enhancing their vocabulary. Make a List of Adjectives: Adjectives describe nouns. They help to give us more information about them by describing their qualities, features, or characteristics. For example, for our pirate ship game, some adjectives we can add are dangerous, rusty, old, and fancy. These naming things challenge cards are great for children to use for many reasons. Firstly, they help children to explore their senses in a safe environment. Double Down: On a Double Down space, you get to read all five categories on your card and select two of them. If you can name five items for both categories in 30 seconds, you get to roll again and move double the number of spaces, otherwise, play passes to the next team or player.
