Love sharing this with my granddaughter who looks forward to Elfie and friends coming each December (this will now be our 5th year ) . I was then required to read out the saga of the mixed-up socks and the other elfy dramas, whilst gingerly lowering myself to the floor… She giggled throughout and then thundered upstairs and burst in on Daddy in the shower and read it out to him! Any time from Christmas Day Night onwards, deliver your last letter, which tells you all about what happened in the North Pole on Christmas Day! Not only have they added to the Christmas magic but they’ve also helped and encouraged my children to read.

My 5 year old jumped up and paused the movie, ran from the room and came back holding the Santa’s Village map that he’d received from his elf Fred when he arrived last week to quarantine with us.We ended up flying little magnet pieces to the back of each wood shape in hopes of my daughter not losing anything. The level of detail in the story and illustrations, transport you all the way to the North Pole and spark daily enjoyment. I’ve always brought her advent calendars but after an appalling year I thought this would be fun for her and I know she will love it. They have brought so much pleasure today to my Grandchildren and they are so imaginatively written and beautifully presented. I dragged myself out of bed to do an early Zoom yoga session, creaked into a back bend and was suddenly interrupted by a flurry of excitement in a nighty, exploding into the room waving her letter!

The ability to comment on our stories is a privilege, not a right, however, and that privilege may be withdrawn if it is abused or misused. My children simply adore Elfie’s letters – we’ve been amazed by them for the past two years and the girls are already asking if I think Elfie will be back this year! He looks forward to the letter from the elves, he has even told his friends at school…who were all amazed that he had letters from the elves.
