Description

There’s a keyring loop, a tiny blue status light and the ribbed back of the drive makes it easier to slide the drive cover - no chance of messing up or losing a cap here.

Couldn't find it, but used the "Chat" facility, and it was very helpful in providing the part no I required. Available with either a USB-C or USB-A connector (though not both, like Transcend’s drive), the 256GB DataTraveler Max performed nearly as well as its more spacious 1TB sibling in our PCMark, DisBench, and CrystalDiskMark tests, making it the second-fastest flash drive we’ve tested (third if you count the 1TB Kingston drive as competition).

Overall, this drive did slightly better on our benchmarks than its 1TB sibling, meaning it doesn't beat or often quite match the Kingston DataTraveler Max. On the other hand, it means using a compulsory converter (Type-A to Type-C) on older desktop computers or laptops.

The other tests carried out (AJA, ATTO, AS SSD) all underline the true nature of the DataTraveler Max as a 1GBps-class storage device. The tiny Samsung Fit Plus, which barely has any surface area compared to the other drives, topped out at 82.

We supply memory for mobile phones and digital cameras specialising in a vast collection of SD Cards, Micro SD Cards and USB Flash Drives. Capacities of up to 2TB are an option with some models (and 1TB is becoming common), and performance on the best flash drives approaches that of some of the best external SSDs. Who needs an external solid state drive when you’ve got something like the Kingston DataTraveler Max 1TB USB flash drive. The drive performed admirably, scoring a superb 1066MBps and 1000MBps on CrystalDiskMark and moving a 10GB file with an average transfer rate speed of 558MBps. On this test, the Kingston drive actually manages to edge out the Muskin external SSD, while the 2TB Buffalo lands in second place among flash drive.

If you are looking to transfer a large amount of data from one computer to another, a 1TB USB flash drive can hold a lot of information. Kingston’s speed champion is fast enough to compete with many far bigger portable SSDs that usually require an additional cable to connect and while it is not the cheapest of the lot, its portability combined with its simplicity of use should propel it high on the list of those who want a capable, fast external storage option. Orico USSD-X (512GB): Orico's latest flash drive is wrapped completely in metal, and feels surprisingly solid in your hand. Our range also extends to top brands of electronics, camera accessories, Android accessories, iPhone and iPad accessories, and plenty more. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . Hopefully, the company improves its supply issues, because this USB-A drive feels better to hold and use than arguably any other flash drive we've tested. Aside from its top-notch performance, it also sports both a UCB-C and a USB-A port (one on each side) and a metal shell that feels a lot nicer than much of its plastic-clad competition.
