More in the background is a warm spicy cinnamon, and a balsamic accord from the benzoin and Peru balsam. A warm, flattering perfume with soft amber and woods and soft spiciness, with the saffron notes catching the eye. Lost cherry smells a bit better in the opening and sweeter in a sense and a slight bit more refined because it has more marzipan cherry almond but since they are different what I do love about lovely cherry is it's like this strong cherry you smell like in the tin can car fresheners that has that strong sickly cherry.

Which is strange because I would have thought I'd love that kind of profile(since I do love my dark scents) but nope. The perfume Lovely Chérie produced by the perfumers Maison Alhambra, belonging to the perfume house Lattafa, is inspired by the fragrance Lost Cherry by Tom Ford.This one is sour in the beginning and drys out to a sweet cherry, lasts longer and doesnt have the granny-plum of Lost Cherry.

I tried liking it on its own but didn’t work, I almost gotten rid of it, then I thought i’d give it one last chance. The Porto Neroli fragrance from Maison Alhambra perfectly captures the cool breeze, sparkling clear water and lush foliage of the Italian Riviera. Lovely Cherie for sure has a lot in common with the original but is less boozy and the drydown is brighter. This smells more like a woodburning fireplace in the next room from where you are eating your slice of Black Forest cake.

I have a few carded samples of Lost Cherry that I never used, so I thought I'd use one of them today to compare Lovely Chèrie to Lost Cherry.
