Even when playing music through Bluetooth, the quality was very high. They offer a well-balanced sound and regardless of what genre of music we put through these speakers, the output was great. These speakers have been designed very cleverly so have the benefit of working well in multiple scenarios. They perform well whether you’re purely listening to music, watching movies, or playing video games. Due to their fairly compact size, they will fit seamlessly into the majority of spaces. If you’re having trouble finding space for them remember they work excellently when used with speaker stands. Design When angled correctly and the volume turned down slightly the YU4s sprung into action and suddenly the sound that had been good without being excellent became just that. If having extra charging points appeals to you then you’ll be pleased to hear that the YU4s come with USB charging functionality. This means you can easily charge your phone or tablet whilst listening to music. We found that this feature was particularly useful when using them as desktop speakers. Warranty In the sound clarity and low-ranges, it even challenges the big speakers which are used in the home theater system for the surround sound. For the sound clarity, we see 1″ silk dome tweeters that work on the detailed sound and spread it into every corner of your room.

Two-way, compact bookshelf speaker design with MDF cabinets, tuned rear bass ports and 1/4-inch mounting hole on bottomThe Edifier R1280DB is a Bluetooth 5.0 speaker made for audiophiles. It comes with high-end components, the latest Bluetooth version, and plenty of inputs (optical audio, coaxial and line-in inputs). You can connect to different inputs simultaneously and use the source feature to swap inputs. Prosonic BT30 Active Bluetooth Bookshelf Speaker

If you are looking for speakers that have a refined and precise sound quality, these are definitely for you. You can add a subwoofer (the YU6’s have a subwoofer out connection) if you want some deeper bass. However, for most people using these on a fairly casual basis, the standard setup should be enough. They can get loud. Claimed sensitivity of 89db, and I believe them. Get far louder than I can push Pioneer SB21, Polk TSi 100, Jamo C91 in the same room with the same amp. Bass does not bloat but stays solid. And I mean turn them up. Hi Kat – ok, I’m running with the “very small condo” as a theme here as well as ‘neighbours’. In short, separate HiFi components sound better but take up more space and cost more. It’s a balance. A good near-field system will sound fine at a reasonable distance, so don’t worry about that. The YU4s are a decent option. With them, you have a small footprint, amp and speakers are sorted, the turntable already has a built in phono amp. You’re sorted there. The YU4s also benefit from subwoofer connectivity. If you’ve got one already or are looking to boost the low end in the future then integrating a sub with these speakers is simple. They also have the ability to switch between line and phono inputs, allowing all turntables and record players to be connected easily. VersatilityIn case you are thinking why we are particularly talking about the design, it is because the design of Kanto YU4 has received a lot of attention, and we aren’t talking about the ‘look’ only. There can be a few issues around getting Bluetooth devices paired correctly. You might find that it takes a few attempts to get this set up but overall it shouldn’t be too difficult. First, there is a large variety of color options; one can choose any color to complement the décor of his room. This is a big positive as mostly these types of speakers don’t come with too many color options, as the main focus is on their technical aspects. At the bottom, there are 1/4″ threaded inserts for those who want to mount the speakers on speaker stands. If you are planning to place it on a cabinet, you don’t have to worry about the surface; the two sets of four adhesive feet prevent scratches. One of the predecessors of the YU4 is the YU, a Bluetooth 4.2-powered bookshelf speaker system that offers impressive sound thanks to its silk-dome tweeter and Kevlar drivers.

Here is some of our Yamaha speakers. Kanto YU4 Speakers – FAQs Does the subwoofer output changes with the volume? As a comparison, I regularly listen to Micca MB42, Polk TSI 100, Pioneer BS21, Jamo C91 and Jamo C103's. And I have three subs that I use with the systems. Yes, I have that many systems set up. It would be correct to say they provide more than enough coverage for your bedroom and living room. Remember, they aren’t for the larger family rooms. Some of our Fluance bookshelf speakers would be more suitable for larger rooms. It doesn’t matter whether it was Nirvana, Florence, or the Beastie Boys, the bass is tight and yet full-bodied. Also, the bass varies according to the nature of the song too. Many factors will help you say that a desktop speaker is easy to use. First, it should be easy to assemble or install on your PC or audio equipment. Next, it has to provide easy access to cords and cables. Also, the speaker should be easy to adjust with controls at the front or with remote control. Lastly, the speakers should be easy to prop up, install on a bookshelf or wall.

The BT30 from Prosonic is a pair of active Bluetooth speakers. These provide impressive audio sounds coming from any device including your PC, laptop, TV, smartphone, or any Bluetooth-capable device. These speakers feature a modern contemporary style made from top-quality MDF panels with a plastic cover. These Prosonic speakers come with a built-in amplifier, full-range drivers, and silk dome tweeters for impressive audio performance. Audioengine HD3 Wireless Speaker A pretty small con in the grand scheme of things but the remote control design could do with an upgrade. It is something we found on the YU5 speakers as well. No impact on its functionality and it is fantastic to have it, just that it could do with a revamp in terms of aesthetics. Could do with more bass There are a couple of issues. One being the somewhat temperamental nature of the Bluetooth. It does work and works well but pairing certain devices can take a bit longer than you would expect. The bass could do with being slightly better but this can be easily fixed with the addition of a subwoofer. The EQs are designed in the context of regular stereo use i.e. domestic environment, no warranty is provided for a near field use in a studio environment although the LW might be better suited for this purpose. When you’re on the lookout for a new set of speakers it’s important to know what is available elsewhere on the market. The Kanto YU has good directivity but unfortunately delivered a response that has a large dip in upper bass/lower mid-range and some resonances. Correcting these with EQ is possible due to very nice directivity. Ability to play loud with lower than expected distortion is another plus. More accurate than the Micca MB42 and more bass, but cant handle as much power it seems. The Bass starts to get a little tubby at volumes that are actually too much for desk listening
