This fact alone piqued my interest and once I’d devoured the first book I quickly gobbled up the other two. I have my signed copy of a Winter’s Grave but haven’t touched it yet as I have been busy re-reading all seven Enzo novels and am now on Entry Island. Alongside an absorbing and action-packed crime story, and the depiction of the potential impacts of climate change on the world, is Inspector Cameron Brodie’s deeply personal story, told through flashbacks to 2023. A Winter Grave is the latest standalone thriller by prolific author Peter May, and it was intense, gritty, fast-paced and chilling (in both senses of the word!
