SyncBaby is a compact and efficient SNES AV Multi-out to VGA D-Sub (with 3.5mm audio-ouput) for your Super Nintendo to output 15Khz (240p) RGB. For reference, here's the pinout I use to connect all my systems to my monitors. A single common pinout means I don't need a seperate monitor cable for each system. Note: supported since 3.50 and not available on SDTV (480i/P & 576i/P) resolutions / output connectors. To output Dolby Digital or DTS® audio, you must connect the PS3™ system and the audio device using a digital optical cable and switch to [Optical Digital] under [Audio Output Settings].

Linear PCM 2 Ch.] audio is set to be output from all output connectors by default. If you change the audio output settings, audio will be output only from the connectors that were set. Connect the other end of the video cable to your TV. Make note of the input that you are connecting to, as this will allow you to find the correct input when you turn on your TV. Match the colors of the plugs with the colors on the inputs. If a device that is not compatible with the HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) standard is connected to the system using an HDMI cable, video and/or audio cannot be output from the system. If you select [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 88.2 kHz] or [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 176.4 kHz] in step 5, sound may be intermittent or may not be emitted from some audio devices. All SNES units are compatible with the SyncBaby without modification; with exception to the SNES Mini/Jr units, which were some of the last SNES units produced and were a smaller than normal form factor (they were more rounded, and not boxy looking). These specific models will require modification to properly use this device, as they do not natively support RGB output. See the photo below for a comparison. Connect the output from this device to a video upscaler which can scale to 480p (or higher) which can support very large majority of modern equipment. The audio connection (Red and White) may be offset from the video inputs on the TV. If your TV only supports mono sound, just use the White audio plug.Adjust the system's audio output settings. Settings vary depending on supported formats. For details, refer to the instructions supplied with the audio device. Utilize a proper monitor that can support this signal natively. Generally this includes most CRT equipment, professional broadcast gear, and some specialized modern LED/TFT/VA flat panels.
