About this deal

I’m very specific in this post when I reference which eggs are gluten-free and safe to eat. So please don’t assume that, just because you’ve seen one egg from a particular brand in this post, that every egg by the same brand is also gluten-free.

The Cadbury gesture egg range will expand to include a Cadbury Creme Egg Gesture Egg and a Cadbury Fingers Gesture Egg. Expensive but lovely dairy free eggs truffles, most come in decorative egg shape containers you can keep afterwards. Despite being a whole host of eggs we can't have because of either unsafe bars in them or may contains, there are still lots of Easter Eggs that are gluten free and Coeliac safe. See the full list below! Marks and Spencer's Extremely Chocolate Orange Explosion did not disappoint this reporter! (Image: Andrew Nuttall / North Wales Live) If you want dairy free, moo free can always be relied upon as usual they have a few different eggs on offer all gluten free.I've broken this blog post into two sections for ease: Gluten Free Easter Eggsand Gluten and Dairy Free Easter Eggs. This list doesn't include any regular "available all the time" chocolate, you can find any gluten free chocolate that is available all year round in this blog - UK Gluten Free Chocolate and Sweets I love Kinder Surprise and all the Surprise easter range is gluten free along with some other Kinder products. If I had to choose a favourite, it would probably be the sea salt and honey option which was the least powerful in terms of the flavour from its luxury add-ins. I think it would have been better for the more compact eggs to focus on the chocolate alone rather than add in more complex flavours.

Recipes can change and vary at the drop of a hat so you should always be on the safe side when trying to find ones that are gluten free. The Asda Extra Special Easter Egg trio did not get my vote! (Image: Andrew Nuttall / North Wales Live) I have seen a fair few dairy free free from eggs floating around the supermarkets too like last year. Possibly due to the popularity of veganism but great for those who are coeliac and dairy free too. Would I buy it again? No Aldi The budget retailer Aldi gave a good go at providing a luxury treat this Easter (Image: Andrew Nuttall / North Wales Live) There’s an Aero Peppermint Egg in this post that’s gluten-free. But there are other Aero Easter egg variations which are NOT gluten-free.

Important note: In 2022 the Mini Eggs Bar was gluten free, but now (2023) it has a 'may contain' warning and is NOT suitable for people with coeliac disease) Supermarkets are operating different opening times over the Easter weekend (Photo: Getty Images) Lidl You maybe delighted to know that the Kitkat Bunnies easter egg is gluten free and also mini eggs, they also have some other eggs which are gluten free too.I've swept the supermarket shelves of Asda, Co-Op, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose to find all the Easter eggs which are gluten free.

A few Lindt easter eggs are gluten free this year. Lindt claim that Lindors which contain barley are below the 20ppm threshold and are safe for Coeliacs, therefore I have included them but I have asterisks(*), use your on judgement on whether you feel safe eating them or not. Only the white chocolate eggs do not contain barley in the Lindor range.

Cadbury Dairy Milk Giant Egg 515g (Box of 4)

You may find one size Easter egg from a brand is gluten free, while a different size has a 'may contain' warning. We can't have chocolate oranges but we can have the one variety of the mini eggs so make the most of these Terrys gluten free treats while you can. The most expensive egg of the bunch - but, in the interest of fairness, cheaper options were available with the brand's Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar range. The luxury range offered three flavours - with chocolate orange, caramel latte and dark chocolate with peanut and pretzel. Like I said above, most supermarkets I tried appeared to go for a luxury appearance in their own range of Easter eggs. Unfortunately, the eggs I got from Asda did not leave me wanting more. Waitrose have some tempting offerings this year. The Heston at Waitrose Chocolate scotch egg isn't gluten free but not to worry we have a recipe for that!
