Every material is sourced to be good for the planet, but also free of any dyes, chemicals and nasties we don't want anywhere near our bodies. Whilst the average sanitary pad is up to 95% plastic, FLO pads are made with 100% organic bamboo, all individually-wrapped in biodegradable plant-based wrappers. When you’re ready to wash your pads, you can wash them by hand (throw them in the shower with you for ease) or you can throw them in with the rest of your laundry (up to 40°C). We use biodegradable + compostable plant cellulose for our pad, liner and tampon wrappers, and sugarcane biopolymer for our applicators (95% plant-based) - NO plastic here. Not only do FLO create better pads and tampons, they also work with charities like Orchid Project who work to end female genital cutting (FGM), donating 5% of profits to the charity.
