Throughout the year we run a series of rallies (group lessons), competitions and other activities to suit all levels and interests.Rallies, ie lessons, cover all aspects of pony care and riding. We work hard to find the very best instructors and by keeping our costs to the minimum our members can access first-class tuition at very reasonable prices. Rallies are also very social events where like-minded youngsters forge lasting friendships.Any body piercings should ideally be removed before going near your horse or pony. The larger and more pendulous piercings create a risk of damage to the body part through which they are secured. If you must continue to wear piercings, for those that are visible, they should be only studded and should be covered with tape or plaster so that they are secure. Hair For Rallies members wear the WLIB sweatshirt which you can buy from us. This should be worn over a white shirt with Pony Club tie or our Pony Club polo shirt.

The Pony Club requires that all rallies must be open to all members, unless there is an age restriction placed on it. Groups of riders at the rally will then be organised based on the abilities of rider and horse/pony as far as possible. It is important to book in as early as possible so that the groups can be organised according to abilities and so that the necessary instructor hours can be arranged. If the rally is full before the closing date, bookings will close early, and a waiting list will be created. All the Hardy Equestrian team are equine enthusiasts bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the brand. Body Protectors are compulsory for all cross-country riding and Pony Racing whether it be training or competing. It is recommended that a rider’s body protector should not be more than 2% of their body weight. When worn, body protectors must fit correctly, be comfortable and must not restrict movement. Prices vary due to location and to make groups as small as possible so that everyone can benfit from equal insturuction.Duringthe summer holidays we hold a week long summer camp for mini, junior and senior members and their ponies where as many members as possible take part in fun and learning. We have our own XC base layers and hat silks coming soon for L&S team wear. White jodhpurs must be worn for XC competitions. Ponies: At rallies we expect you to turn up with a clean pony, no tangles in tail or mane. You would normally plait your pony for a Pony Club show, but not for a rally. Many of these are held at Radfords Equestrian Centre with its all-weather outdoor school and indoor school, but we are also very fortunate to have a number of families who lend us their facilities and we are very grateful to those families for their support.
