Ed Gamble is not my fav comedian although I love him as a podcast host (Off Menu and Taskmaster), but as I got into his stories I think I found this book to be more about a man trying his best. Overall, he weaves together his childhood and his food anecdotes in a way that doesn’t feel too contrived and is entertaining throughout. Ed has featured in stand-up appearances on Live at the Apollo , The Royal Variety Performance , The Russell Howard Hour , and on the US TV show Conan . You won’t be able to bring any bags over 40 x 25 x 25cm into the Queen Elizabeth Hall, so please leave large bags at home.

This was a nice couple of hours to listen to, but there's nothing here that I haven't heard him talk about before, so I paid to listen to this when I've heard it all for free in the past. From a young age, Ed Gamble’s immaculate bibs and extremely dirty nappies hinted at his capacious appetite. I don't know, there were funny parts, the Guinness chapter was good, but for some reason it just fell a bit flat for me. ROMESH RANGANATHAN‘Full of belly laughs and full bellies, this book is warm, honest and wonderfully entertaining. Like a true glutton myself, and as predicted by Mr Ed Gamble, I absolutely devoured this book in about two days. The Greatest Secret, the long-awaited major work by Rhonda Byrne, lays out the next quantum leap in a journey that will take the listener beyond the material world and into the spiritual realm, where all possibilities exist. Bringing their own unique and counter-balanced personalities to proceedings they ask questions such as: what is happiness?

Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. I am glad I read this book, a year after my first NHS course reframing my relationship with food and I did find it both triggering at times and insightful. He's British, he loves food, he used to be a big boy, now he's a regular sized boy, and he still loves food! If you are in Australia or New Zealand (DVD Region 4), note that almost all DVDs distributed in the UK by the BBC and 2entertain are encoded for both Region 2 and Region 4.Access to the Plus Catalogue—thousands of Audible Originals, audiobooks and podcasts, including exclusive series. An intimate and wildly entertaining memoir of a life lived through food, from comedian, Off Menu podcast host and food obsessive, Ed Gamble. While my story differs from Ed's, I too think about the next meal all the time, think if I'm gonna eat something unhealthy I want to eat the best thing.

I won’t lie and say this book won’t make you feel hungry (maybe the bit about slow roasted pork will put you off) but the fact that I couldn’t put it down probably tells you all you need to know. Learn nine essential ways to detox your mindset, feel lighter and more energised, to live a happier and more fulfilling life.Bob Johansson has just sold his software company for a small fortune and is looking forward to a life of leisure. When Billy can’t find the informant, he wonders if Kate is secretly harboring her, since the two grew close during Kate's weeks undercover. Still very enjoyable with some great hilarious moments, and I loved the chat between Nish and Ed at the end of the audiobook. I enjoyed it so so much, having been (or still am) a bit of a fat lad and lover of food it was so relatable and at times felt like I was reading about myself. I like Ed, both his stand up comedy and the Off Menu podcast really appeal to me, but this book felt a little bit performative/surface level.

There she is given the chance to undo her regrets and try out each of the other lives she might have lived. In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money.
