The long-awaited second instalment in Samantha Shannon's Sunday Times and New York Times-bestselling series Tunuva Melim is a sister of the Priory. Midway through the book, the drug stories and anecdotes can seem like a bit much, but it's all there written down for a reason. Who can do that better than 'club culture's national treasure' DJ Fat Tony, whose friends include the likes of Kate Moss, the Beckhams and even Elton John. Now, he is 16 years sober and, alongside working to help others overcome addiction, DJing for everyone from Elton John to Louis Vuitton - and running one of lockdown's most popular Instagram accounts with its wickedly funny memes. Tony's antics are the kind that were really only possible in the era just preceding omnipresent social media. At multiple points throughout Fat Tony comes across as extremely unlikeable yet somehow (possibly as a result of many years of therapy and making amends) has me rooting for him the whole way through.I Don’t Take Requests is Fat Tony’s breathtakingly candid and outrageous memoir of a life of extremes. Everyone loves a memoir, especially one where the details are extra juicy, offering the latest in fashion gossip. I told him to **** off, and the guy pointed back over to Stevie and was like, ‘He’s just there, and he wants this record.

Making someone laugh when they’ve just finished crying is on of the most beautiful things to ever exist”. It was a humbling read and an apologetic one too for those that knew Tony and had been on the receiving end of his out of control days . Drawing a vivid portrait of Britain's street culture from the 1980s to the noughties, DJ Fat Tony describes his childhood on a London estate where he honed his petty criminality, was abused by an older man and became best friends with Boy George.I Don’t Take Requests is such a fascinating read as Tony has always been at the right place at the right time. You may find yourself not liking him as a person as he tells tales of his harsh personality and mood swings. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. There is nobody in London, let alone the world who has lived a more extraordinary life… his journey from villain to real life hero is one of the most beautiful examples of humanity I have ever witnessed. He is nothing short of a miracle and his willingness to be of service to others seeking sobriety is testament to how far he has come from the days of pulling his own teeth out.

I picked this book up in Waterstones during a thunderstorm, and ended up reading it purely because I didn't have anything else to do except wait for the rain to stop. Now in recovery, this something he is looking back on and talking about in detail to show the grim reality of what can look like such a glam and hedonistic life to those on the outside looking in. It seemed to come straight from the heart and he had me laughing out loud, then in complete shock and then being in tears. This amount includes seller specified domestic postage charges as well as applicable international postage, dispatch, and other fees.I've read books before where the author comes across as unlikeable, but that's always been unintentional. I mainly enjoyed the backdrop of an 80s and 90s central London music scene, from the New Romantics to early house to hard house and the evolution of the superclub and superstar DJ. It made me laugh out loud more than anything I've read recently, but it was also hard to consume and very sad at times. I strongly advise you read this book' TRACEY EMINAs one of club culture's most notorious - and best loved - figures, Tony is a complete force of nature.
