Explore your favorite family Christmas traditions with this delightful building challenge. Build the quaint Elf Club House (10275) then explore all its cozy holiday details as you unwind with this hands-on project. What do you think of the 2020 Winter Village set? Do you think it’s a great addition to the Winter Village and does it fit in well with the other buildings? It's the most wonderful time of the year...Obviously I'm talking about the release of the next Winter Village set. The Winter Village sets are probably the biggest factor for coming out of my dark ages. I tend to like the more realistic ones so for a second year in a row I'm uncertain on how keen I am on the fantasy subject matter. Last year's Gingerbread House won me over, let's see if the Elf Club House can do the same (spoiler alert, my Christmas addiction probably means it will!) Contents: The Set Moving on to play features, out front you can park the sled in the covered parking stall, and open the front door to let in some crisp winter air. I have to point those amazing Christmas lights out again, too. They really look functional.

Final thoughts: The LEGO Elf Club House is a worthy addition to the Winter Village, and is a solid follow-up to last year’s Gingerbread House. On the other end is a cabinet with a teapot on it, and a wrapping station. The use of the red and white doors as a roll of wrapping paper is absolutely inspired. The design of the Elf Club House is immediately recognizable as belonging to the Winter Village, thanks to the iconic sloped snow-blanketed roof and inclusion of the chimney. The Elf Clubhouse joins 2014’s Santa’s Workshop and last year’s Gingerbread House as a fantasy-themed expansion of LEGO’s beloved Winter Village theme, which is a personal favourite of mine.Last but not least of the mini builds is this amazing retro desktop computer, with Elf looking up Santa’s Nice List. You think Facebook is bad because they have so much data on you? Wait till you see Santa’s file on you. I love how incredibly simple, yet poignant this design is, especially for us oldies who may remember actually using a desktop computer like this. There's a few things that will make a LEGO set a must have for me. One of those things is Christmas. I'm one of those annoying people who loves Christmas more than caring about whether my family want to watch a Hallmark Christmas movie in July. Christmas music hits my playlists early November, decorations go up the weekend after Thanksgiving. Part of those decorations is my collection of Christmas LEGO. This year I may need to convince my wife to get a second table because my collection is getting too big for my allotted corner. On the ground floor is a small counter and chairs, which have plates of waffles and red mugs for the Elves to eat.

The interiors are tiny, but they managed to squeeze in some furniture, and a sitting area, which is a great use of what little space they had.

What's in the box

The breakfast nook is cute, but in action it again makes you question the ergonomics of the club house. Since the elf minifigures have short, non-articulated legs, they have to stand on the chairs instead of sitting. That’s an understandable compromise, but due to the height of the table, plates, and mug, you have to raise the figures arms to almost comical heights to get them to fit into the space. And just forget trying to get two elves to have a bite at the same time. You’re probably better off just putting all the elves in other areas of the club house when you display things. If you’re looking to recreate the cozy feeling of your favorite Christmas memories, we’ve got the perfect thing for you – the LEGO® Elf Club House (10275). It’s the ideal way to enjoy quality time with a sugar-sweet DIY project. Build the intricately detailed Elf Club House then explore all its merry features. This is an easy, easy set to recommend to buy, as you’ll enjoy every moment of the set. With LEGO being in such short supply this year, I wouldn’t hesitate in pulling the trigger on the Elf Club House, especially if you want to avoid missing out for Christmas this year. The final bit of building is putting together the chimney. Rather than just another rehash of a wood-burning hearth, we get something entirely new. Thanks to a bit of clever LEGO engineering, there’s a plinko-like mechanism to cook waffles! I’ve left the front off of it here so you can see the setup. You’ll get to see it in action below.
