Very linear scent, but it's quite pleasant and quite unique in a way, definitely not new DNA but it's a sharp woody dark floral scent that reminds me of poison. Age group this can be a great first real fragrance that doesn't come out of a body spray tin yet someone in their 30s could possibly pull this off. Boss bottled Night is fairly linear but it opens up slightly citrusy with a very prominent violet note that overall comes off smelling clean and very shower gel like. When you are looking for an eau de toilette which is a real crowd pleaser, Hugo Boss Bottled Night is the right choice for you. But someone who doesn't care about notes or what's in a fragrance and probably received it as a gift.

The trick to make it last longer, is to also spray on your shirt and in your hair, as they tend to keep the smell longer.Here also golden rule applies - if worn by the right person in the right setting and right clothing may work wonders. The bottle is a "night version" of regular kind, it fits in with the brand and is packaged nicely but differently enough that it would stand out on a shelf. The bottle is beautiful but for me, it's not one of those scents that makes you want to sniff the bottle when you aren't wearing it. Spray on pulse points around the body: neck, torso, biceps to increase the longevity of the fragrance. This could be unisex although it leans a little masculine but overall it’s quite floral for a male fragrance. Really a surprise to me, as I was hoping for some kind of deep, aromatic Polo Black-style club scent.It smells very fresh, almost citrusy in the beginning, but it smells quite soapy and articial at the same time. On the back of the box, the notes are listed as: Birch leaf (top note), Cardamom (middle note), Louro Amarelo Wood, and Musky Notes (bottom notes). To start, I think flankers should be a slight variation of a base scent, not something completely different with just a variation of the name. On paper the Drydown smells fantastic but the main part of the scent just feels a bit underwhelming. I am not sure if there was a formulation change, but the bottle I have has the notes listed on the back (which I failed to see until I opened it). Obviously it's not going to have the obscurity of a lot of niche houses, but it is a fragrance I feel most people would agree smells quite nice. This fragrance seems extremely underrated and I think you'll be hard pressed to find someone that doesn't like this scent.

That being said it is a nice scent, and if it could go the distance it would be up there with some of my favourites. Violet and lavender combine with the scent of birch and the scent of other woods, among which the rare South American wood Louro Amarelo stands out.
