But despite not being able to compete with a true loadcell brake. The T3PA-Pro conical brake is almost, almost there. It adds a new dimension in terms of braking quality compared to other Thrustmaster solutions. And it should be your go to setup for a Thrustmaster pedal set. If you have problems with FFB auto-centering heavily on Logitech wheels (e.g. G920), switching the TYPE from "Logitech Legacy" to "DirectInput" may help. As I just mentioned, you can also adjust the angle of each pedal, which is a lovely touch. By rotating the mounting support behind each pedal you can add an increased incline to each pedal.

Fanatec ClubSport pedals V3 (and V1 + V2) are supplied with their own USB. This means that you can connect them directly to your PC, and will work with any wheel base. Again, this is only the case on PC and with games which support multiple inputs which are listed above. Can You Use Fanatec Pedals With Thrustmaster Wheels Xbox or PS5? I replaced potentiometers on my thrustmaster pedals (T3PA) with non-original potentiometers (cheapest, lowest quality ones I could find locally as per Thrustmaster standards). I want to share how. If you are really looking for a way of combining both Fanatec and Thrustmaster products together on a console, you will require some form of adaptor. As we mentioned above, both Xbox and PS5 only support 1 input device, meaning you can’t connect your peripherals seperately like you can on PC. You may think on first impression that these look identical to the already existing T500RS pedals. And, well they are certainly very similar. But that is for good reason. The T500RS pedals feature the best product design of any Thrustmaster pedal set to date.My local online electronics shop had something similar for the taper (still not a guarantee will work) but delivery time was too long and the price was ~10€ for a single pot, and the shaft did not mach (need D shaft, had knurled shaft), and if I have to guess the TM paid 0.5 - 1.5 euros per pot, most likely well below 1€, and I do not think there is value in spending 10€ for single potentiometer, since pedals are terrible to begin with, and if you want to spend more, then do a hall-effect sensor conversion or a load-cell, or buy a better pedal set. Cheap fix for cheap pedals is the name of the game here. So we have covered how to use Fanatec pedals with a Thrustmaster wheel. But what if you fancy doing things the other way around. What if you want to use Thrustmaster pedals with a Fanatec wheel.

They also look like they should last a long time - my only slight concern is over the cable exit from the base of the unit - this could probably have done with a build in cable strain reducer, but it is easy to do something yourself. When you compare these pedals to the standard two pedal set you will see a lot of similarities. The majority of the base of each pedal set is made from plastic. The pedals themselves feature a similar metal design and construction, and they’re hinged in the exact same way. Both of these sets feature considerable options for adjusting the height, angle and pitch of the pedals – and both include mod options for the brake pedal (one with the T3PA, two with the Pro) for tweaking the feel and required braking force. Further mods are available both from Thrustmaster as well as third-party manufacturers. The T3PA is relatively standard fare in terms of sim racing pedals, if not at the higher-end of said classification. While the set is always going to be used in the F1 (standard) position, the array of tweaks and mods on offer allow for considerable customization. Furthermore, the archetypal design does extend to aesthetics, and equates to a truly classic design that doesn’t stand out nor offend. Leather-wrapped wheel with 25 action buttons, 1 push-button and 4 rotary selectors natively recognized in GT Sport (differential braking, traction control, fuel mapping, torque management)

And that is not good for us at all. This is one of those other taper, and no, I do not know the name of it. Sourcing it could be hard, and even if you find one that fits physical dimensions and has a similar taper, if the taper is off by even a little bit you could end up with noticeable dead-zones in pedals. You can also mount the pedals from above. Effectively, by inverting the pedal mounting, you create a set of pedals which matches a real road car. This gives ultimate immersion when driving these styles of cars, and even better throttle and pedal control in certain situations. In theory, these T3PA-Pro pedals are the perfect almagamtion of the best braking technology and product design. We’ve been testing these pedals for a while now with our T500 RS. And we’ve written this review to help you decide whether it is worth you buying these T3PA-Pro pedals
