The stark contrast between Dare's occasional gentleness and selfish generosity and his underlying brutality that waited impatiently to come out and play had a very nice edge to it. Dare is the MMC, one who has some pretty twisted, dark grey, “dare” I say black morals who won’t stop at anything to get what he wants. I have a feeling the Coastal Elite series is going to turn out to be as intricately woven, addictive, and captivating as Sam's Morelli Family series that had me in a chokehold back in 2018. But because Anae is a legit psycho, she tells Aubrey that she's gonna regret not taking back the shirt😳.

Considering he's allowed to be with other people and has been pretty active smexually, I thought he was going to continue being the hoooooar that he's been.I definitely wouldn’t condone some of the things that happened in the book, but it made sense to the characters and the story. How I would strip away your will, ignore your every single boundary, and treat you like a toy, playing with you exactly how I want to without regard for whether or not you liked it. I'm already addicted to her writing style, her voice, the nuances she embeds in her books, add in a legit psycho, well two, and BAM-I'm hooked💅.

Somehow Sam makes this recklessly manipulative, conniving and controlling, twisted and depraved anti-hero swoony.

She’s mentioned like twice in the book and all Hanna says is that her friend Parker she wants to go to her house and hang out. His relationship with Aubrey is as unhealthy as it can come- and what a marvelously delicious portrayal.
