Carolina Reaper pepper plants do not require much water at all. In fact, it is surprisingly easy to drown them with too much water if you are not careful. On a weirder note, you don’t want to feel the heat alone – whether it’s food or the other thing…..) Do not let the name fool you – the Chocolate Bhutlah is nothing close to being a dessert dream. It is, in fact, one of the hottest peppers on the planet, named for it's chocolate color. 7 Pot Douglah - 1,853,936 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Growing the plants far enough away from each other that they are not touching is a great way to help keep them healthy and reach full size, which will ensure a large batch of peppers at the end of the season. Right now I have the other Carolina Reaper plant in my grow tend under a 800w LED grow light (more on this in a later post). There are plenty of flowers on the plant so hopefully I will get more than the 7 ripen pods I have now.

One of our favorite superhots is the yellow/orange variant of the 7 pot primo (pictured above).
