Ignore the the vertical smear at large apertures, this is is a sensor artifact called interline transfer smear and not a lens defect. There is no aperture ring. You have to use a dial on the camera to set it, or to set it to Auto aperture control for A and P modes There is a tiny bit of spherochromatism, which can cause color fringes on things that aren't in perfect focus.
