Light - Have a job that involves long periods of sitting (office-based / driving) or are home-based and sitting for much of the day. Typical jobs: office worker, sales rep, bus/taxi/lorry driver. NOSE: Ripe berry fruits with chocolate mint characters typical of Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon.

Kerrigan + Berry – These are wines crafted by two expert winemakers, Gavin Berry of West Cape Howe and Michael Kerrigan of Hay Shed Hill. The Hay Shed Hill vineyard is located in the Willyabrup Valley, the premier sub-region of the Margaret River Wine region. Only 5 Km from the Indian Ocean with an elevated aspect, the vineyard thus enjoys the benefit of the ‘doctor’ the well-known sea breeze that comes off the ocean each afternoon and cools down the vineyard giving the fruit a much cooler climate character than the latitude of the vineyard might suggest. The vineyard is hilly with several aspects ranging from steep south facing slopes on which the best Chardonnay is located, to equally steep north facing slopes where the best Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys the full face of the sun. The majority of the vineyard is dry grown producing small yields of outstanding fruit. PALATE: Good concentration of ripe sweet berry fruits with impressive mid palate fleshiness. Soft round palate profile with ripe tannin at finish. Moderate - On your feet for much of the day, either standing or occasional slow paced walking. Typical jobs: shop assistant, teacher, chef/cook, bar worker, engineer. The hilly area of the vineyards along with the cool climate makes this place ideal for growing the white wine varietal of Chardonnay. The steepness of the vineyards makes them ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. Only small yields of fruits are grown here, which improves the quality of the vines. A fruity, smooth and easy going Shiraz - far too easy to drink! Bright with colour and aromas of plum and red currant over toasty mocha and spicy oak. The palate is full flavoured with plum, blueberry and mocha notes. The tannins are well balanced and give the wine great structure and length The Hay Shed Hill vineyard is situated on a picturesque property that was established as a group settlement farm for returned soldiers from the First World War. Known as Sussex Vale the property was originally a dairy farm. The current homestead, considerably renovated, still has much of the original Group Settlement look and feel. Inactive - Do very little exercise, going for the occasional walk (moderate pace, low intensity). Spend majority of leisure time doing activities such as watching TV, playing computer games, on the internet, reading, cooking, driving, general household chores. Heavy - Active for much of the day, walking non-stop and carrying objects. Typical jobs: hospital/ward nurse, waitressing in a busy restaurant, cleaner, porter, labourer/construction worker, gardener, farm worker. Leisure Activity Level

PALATE: The palate displays good depth of fruit concentration, ripe sweet fruit fleshiness in the mid palate and good flavour extension. Moderately active - Do light to moderate intensity exercise 3-4 times a week. E.g. going to the gym / swimming / cycling / horse riding / dance classes / playing golf. Daily dog walking (brisk pace, twice a day). The Western Australian wine label of Hay Shed Hill is located in Wilyabrup, found inside the Margaret River wine region. The vineyard is situated on a property that was originally a place where the soldiers who returned from the First World War got settled with their families. Here, vines were first planted during the early 1970s.

Every vintage is different; lessons learned from the previous year don’t always help the following year.
