About this deal

Watch this video trailer for the book. Could you make your own trailer for this book (or another one of your favourite books)? It has a great way of making me appreciate that this is our place and how we treat the world is up to us.

The book includes a huge collection of vocabulary to describe Earth. Can you make a dictionary based on these words? The ending? Don’t expect conclusive answers. But tell me, isn’t life that way? That I desperately wanted clear answers is the best indicator of the extent to which the story pulled me in. I have come to the conclusion that the ending is perfect.

Looking for something different

O be reikalo. Knyga žaisminga, skaudi, jauki, stilinga, subtili. Dar daug epitetų čia tiktų, bet viskas į vienus vartus - ji nuostabi. How many different types of plants can you see in the book? How many animals? How many different habitats?

😍 Oliver Jeffers, arguably the most influential creator of picture books today, offers a rare personal look inside his own hopes and wishes for his child–and in doing so gifts children and parents everywhere with a gently sweet and humorous missive about our world and those who call it home. The book tells us that ‘there is enough for everyone’. Is everything shared equally between people on the planet? Why?

Celebrated author/artist Oliver Jeffers, inspired by the birth of his son, presents a picture-book love letter to our planet in this beautiful new book. "Here we are," the narrator informs us, pointing to our blue globe, as it hangs in space. From the land to the sea, from people to animals, all the wonderful, marvelous kinds of creature and thing that go to make up our planet are detailed. So too are various pieces of advice about living in this world of ours, from cherishing the time we have (there isn't much of it) to being kind to the other residents. In the end, on Earth, you are never alone... We share our planet with animals. They come in many shapes, sizes and colors. Inspired by the bestselling picture book, Here We Are, comes this irresistible alphabet book to welcome babies and toddlers to our planet. Moments of human intimacy jostle with scenes that inspire cosmic awe, and the broad diversity of Jeffers’s candy-colored humans…underscores the twin messages that ‘You’re never alone on Earth’and that we’re all in this together.”– Publisher’s Weekly (starred review)
