It's a good scent - far from great - far from memorable. Which i suppose is what i expected...but maybe deep in my heart i hoped it would be something more. This perfume bears a resemblance to Elizabeth Arden's Untold but only at the initial spray. Untold is pure white floral and green to my nose and a little too mature for my tastes. Guilty is sweeter and deeper. Things were actually worst for women. The whole "Parfum" line, Acenti, Flora, Gucci by Gucci, and so on...

Campaign: Captured by photographer Glen Luchford, the new Gucci Guilty scents are represented as part of another unexpected location – the diner – complete with inimitable red booths, wood-paneled walls, and shuttered windows. Nestled within one such booth, Gucci Guilty protagonists Jared Leto and Lana Del Rey stare directly out in a challenge that subtly dares the viewer to join them in the celebration of liberty. A special cameo from Courtney Love serves to reinforce this message. Three stages are... unusual fresh, seaside floral opening, into a heart that is almost a scrubber, it's that bad. Let me just say that this could be a taste thing on my part but I found it really sour and unpleasant combination. Then when nearly dead and settled right the way down comes a woody, synthetic aroma chemical heaven of timbersilk, clearwood, synth ambers? and like that.....all is well. Side Rant: Francesca Bianchi is so amazing--not hard on the eyes either. Probably can't say that nowadays. We guys oughta just shoot ourselves or maybe go to one of those charming 're-education' facilities like the Communists use. I can see it now: Bad Doggie re-program Room A. Right. You are now cured. 'Oh. . you look nice today (snore). You can't even joke anymore so let me sort this out so as not to offend. Guys who are gentlemen can meet todays standards. A gentleman always keeps the standard. OK relax, good talk. Edit: 2 years later, I bought a bottle. On my skin, it's way more juniper/cypress forward than florals. In the base, it's a musky wood acccord, the violet and heliotrope, while noticeable, are more toned-down compared to the paper strip test.Wow, so what to say about this one? Well, I do love it, not just a like for me. The issue is, I like it because of what it intended on doing. Which is old world Italian clean charm. What does that mean.. Well, my grandfather used to wear certain fragrances that had a very medicinal minty fresh vibe, like a "gin & tonic", which makes sense with the Juniper berries, bergamot, mandarin and cypress found here. So, as I'm wearing it, I get that mental image of my grandfather dressed up conducting business and just being a commanding presence. i will never buy this again as there are so many fragrances that are better in every single way than this. I don't think this smells generic. Bleu De Chanel has become the Generic smelling cologne for me because there are so many that smell like it, Jimmy Choo, Acqua Essenziale, Sauvage etc. This one doesn't smell like Bleu De Chanel, so cross that "generic" description off the list. It smells really good, like almost fruity, but sexy. I have a yuuuge collection and I don't have anything that smells as close to this as all the previously mentioned one's smell to Bleu De Chanel. Seriously, this is a unique fragrance, unless you are comparing it to Gucci Guilty Intense which is supposed to smell like it. This stuff smells good, maybe familiar, but it is original. There is something so incredibly approachable and charming about GG. It's flirty, not pretentious, but also distinguished and confident. It invites you in, as its sillage and projection are not great, but it says "I'm here" instead of announcing "look at me". You will likely have to re-apply in the middle of the day, but it smells so good that I don't care. I'll reapply. Easy.

I don't really smell the notes listed here. It's fresh and aromatic, somewhat woody, and dries down to a very absent and fleeting smell. Completely different from the top. After an hour all I get is very very light woods. With that said- as my collection becomes more solidified and less experimental It's hard to find a place for this in my rotation- it's almost like a special reach fragrance if I have a crush on someone at work and I want to replace the uplifting elegant Bleu De Chanel EDP in the Spring until the co-worker takes the bait or turns me down lol.

I got this as a gift. I must admit I was reluctant to put this on reading the name. I expected something super punchy in your face, full of patchouli and dirt, sweat etc. So I went online to read the notes. The notes made me feel a bit more assured that this won’t be the case but I was still nervous to try this on because of the pink pepper. I was sure I’d get a headache or that I’ll want to immediately scrub this off when I tried it on my skin…but…wait a minute… I will say that there is some kind of creaminess about this scent that totally turns me off. It's most notable in the first 5 minutes. it's like a juniper/sandalwood mixture which triggers a nauseating response for me. Again, it doesn't last long - but it's definitely there.
