Description

An effect is like a pedal, such as reverb, delay, chorus, or fuzz. The multistomps come with between 58 to 100 effects, depending on the model. Lets say you are new to effects. You don't have much of an idea about them and you'd like to know what they do and sound like. different chorus and modulation effects for guitar and bass are provided, including phasing, flanging, tremolo, vibrato, detuning, auto-panning, rotary speaker emulations, and pitch shifting—even an intelligent harmonizer that plays along in key. Vintage sounds include simulations of the TC Electronic Corona Chorus and Tri-Chorus, Boss CH-1 Super Chorus and CE-1 /CE-5 Chorus Ensembles, MXR M234 Analog Chorus, and Electro-Harmonix SmallClone, as well as the ADA flanger. If you want to try an updated version that's a bit better with some of the MS-60B effects, get it here, but you have to have the latest Java Runtime Environment installed.

MS-60B: mono input, stereo out, USB connectivity, good range of all bass effects. Needs custom firmware to change effects out. Primarily designed for bass. Only can use 4 effects at once; comes with 58 effects. If you're decided to get your hands on a Zoom MS-70CDR, you could try the Musikhaus Thomann webshop. Ideal for the player in pursuit of an extended range of sounds, the Zoom MS-70CDR Multi-Stomp Effects Pedal supplies a mighty selection of chorus, delays and reverb stylings, all within one efficient size. With everything from vintage to modernised characteristics to the sounds, get larger than life tone within the push of a button. Some units will have more editable parameters per patch than others, while some have software companions, and allow loading and saving. This means that useful patches can be shared by a community of users. Some pedals like the Zoom MS-series have an enthusiastic community around them, with a subreddit to share patches and advice. Do I want mono or stereo? As a fourth example lets say you gig [occasionaly or professionaly] and have a pedalboard with enough time-based effects on it that cover a good portion of realestate and you are considering making it lighter.

The MS-70CDR's cutting-edge DSP microchip performs 32-bit floating-point calculations, giving it the ability to create sophisticated studio-quality effects such as the 25 rich, dense reverbs and realistic spatial simulations found here. These rooms, halls, arenas, plates, and springs allow you to add depth and spaciousness to your sound. Vintage emulations include the TC Electronic Hall of Fame and Nova, as well as the Digitech RV-7, the Eventide Space, the Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail, and the strymonblueSky.

Whether you're a guitarist or a bass player, you can cut down the size of your pedalboard by adding an MS-70CDR. From a warm, vintage sound to a clear, modern tone, this one pedal can do it all. It offers 86 diverse options for shaping your sound. For ease of use, these are organized into the followingcategories: As many others here have said, the sounds and features of this pedal are quite fine. I have not yet updated to the latest firmware (2.10), but so far have not experienced any issues with sound or functionality. my biggest worry when i bought the pedal was that it will be extremely awkward to use. I'm very pleased to report that it is very intuitive, I got the hang of it almost instantly with no manual reading, I still had to take out the booklet to understand how to make an effect chain and how to tap tempo, but other than that very intuitive. Here are the similar guitar and bass drive modules, so if you only play one instrument, you don't have to add both: Bass Effect If you are installing any DRIVE and AMP effects on the MS-70CDR, you MUST install the file "CMN_DRV.ZDL" on your MS-70CDR. This is the "Common Drive" file that you won't see on your pedal's menus, but it is needed for Drive and Amp files to work.

The reverbs don't seem very "expansive" and don't seem to add much dimension to the sound (I have a Boss RV500 that I'm 50/50 on selling, so trying to find some good ambient reverbs that might justify me getting rid of it) You get one of these units and replace all your individual time-based pedals for this handy little box... because they sound quite good [and the single sized box takes less realestate on your pedalboard]. If you have an MS-50G or MS-60B, note that you should NOT remove "CMN_DRV.ZDL" from your MS-50G, and you should NOT remove "CMN_BASS.ZDL" from your MS-60B. The effects in this unit are time-based mainly [a lot of Choruses, Delays, Reverbs, phaser, flanger...] and some extra goodies [such as Guitar and Bass EQs and a noise reduction that works like a charm]. With a total of 86 effects you'll never be short of dialing in the perfect sound with the Zoom MS-70CDR. There are 16 different chorus effects, 26 delays, 29 reverbs and 15 various modulation effects such as flangers, tremolos, vibratos, phasers and modulators. The MS-70CDR is even a stereo processor, although you can use it with a mono signal. It runs either Then run the custom firmware .exe file on your PC. This will detect your pedal and allow you to write the firmware. Don't unplug your pedal while it's happening. You can see the process on your pedal's screen.

While holding down the "up" and "down" buttons (above/below the chrome footswitch), connect the pedal to your PC via the USB cable. This will put it in "firmware update" mode. Dynamics Effects / Filters It has much less processing power, and this power has to be shared over up to 6 effects. Compared to the original pedals it emulates it's often lower in bitrate producing a much more lo-fi sound (which some people want). This is especially noticeable in the reverb department, if you want long lush and clear tails it's probably better to buy a dedicated reverb pedal 3 times the price. The Zoom MS-70CDR can store a total of 50 user presets with effect settings. Out of the box it shipsIf you can get two pedals, get the MS-50G or MS-60B, plus an MS-70CDR. These two combined will cover pretty much all your needs.
