The fact that we had so many new tropes was something super different and good in the Dreamland universe: small town and second chance.

It’s about Cal and Alana who were childhood friends to lovers and used to spend their summer in Lake Wisteria but they fell apart. The plot as a whole did nothing, in comparison to the previous books in the series, Final Offer has nothing to offer. Unfortunately, after this encounter, my LEAST favorite trope appears and drags on for far longer than needed - Is Cal the father of little Cami? There were some astute lines and observations made throughout the book that made me feel like Asher really put her heart into this one.

she was childish, preaches abt not falling into the same patterns, but would give cal so many chances, she would always jump to conclusions, find so many excuses to hate him and not trust him and would say the most insensitive shit when she was angry. Lana is such a layered and deep character that was relatable and determined by the end of the story. When he broke his best friends heart 6 years ago after leaving Lake Wisteria, he promised never to come back.I feel left out 😂🙈 Everyone seems to be loving this and idk why, it's the exact opposite experience for me lol. anyways rant over, bc i did enjoy the little moments between cal and cami, they are everything to me. Lana believes in Cal getting sober and Cal wants to go back to rehab but he has to complete his part of the will. I really think that Lauren Asher tried to make a strong main character, who didn't forgive the mmc for everything, or who thought that the power of love could change him, but it turned out very badly.

Final Offer did start off on a high so high that I giggled because I assumed this was going to be my book of the year. I didn't find her charismatic at all,on the contrary, she's boring, unbearable, she wasn't funny at all no matter how much the author described how Cal laughed all the time, I didn't even lift the corner of my lips even once. all they done was treat cal badly and excluded him simply bc he left and broke alana’s heart, holding a 6 year grudge while he was struggling w addiction drove me crazy. One thing i heavily appreciated was how Lana and Cal’s relationship was about pushing one another towards inevitable happiness. Added to this is that I didn't feel any kind of connection between Cal and Alana, their discussions were dull, the spice was cringey and not at all hot, I don't know, everything is wrong with this book, really. There was a lot of two steps forward, one step back and that very much felt real and raw as Cal worked towards finding his why.

Cami was Lana’s sister Anontella’s daughter, Anto was high during her pregnancy and Lana was left with Camila. his recovery felt too easy, it happens extremely fast even tho majority of the book is him struggling w alcohol use. Final Offer wasn’t a terrible book; however, for a book ending this trilogy I expected it to go out with a bang.I’ve never thought I would cry reading this book but I can’t help also another reason for this book to give 5 stars! The next instance is she constantly claims that she wants to support Cal with his addiction BUT she never does.
