With six gyros, built-in AI, and a host of software special effects, you can be your own movie studio. You can edit your Insta360 One RS files with the free Insta360 Studio 2022 desktop editing software (Windows and macOS—I use Windows).

On the front, we can see the lens, the microphone, and the front screen. On the upper side, there is the shutter button similar to most cameras, on the left side, there is the microSD compartment slot, the battery compartment, and the USB-C-Port connector, on the right side, there is the mode button to turn off and on the cam or change settings as well as the drain microphone, most of them can be changed with the touchscreen.

Both the One RS and X3 have very similar shooting modes. Both can shoot RAW images, HDR photos and have a mode called Pureshot which automatically improves the quality of your shots without editing. Both lenses can capture in raw – as DNG files – as well as JPG. New for this version is that its boosted processing power enables the handling of still images in various resolutions up to 48MP, stills and video in Active HDR, and a new 6K widescreen mode that uses an aspect ratio of 2.35:1 and a frame rate of either 24p or 25p. More importantly, its flagship video mode – 4K 60fps – now comes with Insta360’s impressive gimbal-like FlowState Stabilization. It’s very much a yay if you don’t already have an action camera, 360 camera or want to experiment and play with something a little different from other action cams.

There’s an obvious difference in the design of both of these cameras. Firstly, the Insta360 One RS is a modular device which means it’s comprised of separate sections which can be taken apart. The new Insta360 ONE RS Twin Edition comes with an improved megapixel size thanks to the new image sensor, the can shoot pictures up to 48MP , and thanks to the higher resolution we get a lot more detail in the pictures. The only issue with Shot Lab is that despite it telling you exactly what to do to satisfy the needs of each template it’s very difficult to tell from the camera roll exactly which clip is relevant to each template. Credit: Amanda Yeo / MashableThe quality of the Insta360 ONE RS is pretty good, it achieves good natural colors and nice sharpness in the videos but in comparison with the new Hero 11, it still has a bit to go to be as good in video quality. I would love it if the effective resolution were higher – looking more like 1080p – but I do think spherical video is an incredibly powerful tool to really give people a sense of being there. Reframed video Devices that do not meet the above requirements may still be able to use the app to control the camera, however, performance of some processor-intensive and AI-powered features may be sub-optimal.
