These vocal variations create an immersive listening experience and smoothly convey the emotions within the story. If you love a bit of dark humour (and I mean dark) and aren’t put off reading about some incredibly dark topics (rape, on screen murder, physical abuse, drug and alcohol abuse) then I would definitely recommend checking this out. I’ve never really read a book like this, so can’t say ‘read if you enjoyed…’, but it does give me Dexter vibes, only she’s a woman and I think her reasoning and the people she chose to kill made it resonate with me a little more. What I also loved is that How To Kill Men And Get Away With It doesn’t fit in a neat little genre box. Her being vegan itself obviously wasn't what bothered me, what bothered me was the fact that she makes vegans look like arseholes. Kitty forms a cute connection that allows her softer side to be shown and drives some character growth.

There is definitely something cathartic about seeing crappy abusive dudes getting bumped off, so while Kitty could definitely have had some room to grow and evolve, it’s escapist fun at the end of the day and that’s just fine. Who doesn't like the idea of a bad ass vigilante woman taking the law into her own hands and making despicable men pay for their sins. Kitty is an interesting protagonist in that she is oozing with privilege due to her wealth, beauty, and social clout due to her successful influencer lifestyle, but covertly slaughters men she as discovered or deemed to be predators while hiding behind these things. Firstly, the cover and the title – I will be honest I picked this up only for its title and the cover.

The book has multiple plot holes and so much of it doesn't make sense, but from a satirical point of view it does delightful portrayal the vacuous world of Insta-celebrity; it does provide the hilarity of highly improbably and funny murders; there are outrageous scenes throughout; and the whole book is one dark witty comedy- 7 out of 12, Three Star read for me. After two “accidental” murders of men who were sexual predators, the main character, Kitty Collins (I will discuss the characters later on), decides this is her purpose.But even Charlie’s presence isn’t enough to erase the evil still stalking women on the streets of London. I'm giving this three stars because it was easy to read, had plot twists I didn't see coming and was overall gripping to read. Because this book has very women’s fiction-esque themes, but centers upon a woman who, when she isn’t cavorting with her friends or living a lavish lifestyle, is killing men who have been abusers in their past and present. The men she kills are horrible people and as you read the story it is not hard to justify her behaviour. After Kitty Collins accidentally kills a man stalking her after leaving a nightclub she realises she likes the feeling of wreaking vengeance on men for all the females out there. Katy Brent has created a brilliant book that acts as social commentary and touches on issues that are a genuine downfall within our society. being a vegan is totally fine with me, it's not how I live, but why ya gotta make me question what's in my meat so much?

So after finishing that book in 4 days in between running a business and looking after my little girl it’s safe to say I was totally hooked and a complete book worm!
