Programmes: 27 (18 pre-set unique workout designed by a certificated personal trainer, 3 user-defined, 3 heart rate controlled, 3 manual target modes – time, distance, calories) Typically, DKN machines are slightly higher priced than their peers, but feature premium components. The EcoRun marks DKN’s entry into the highly competitive budget treadmill market and we were eager to learn whether they’ve compromised the premium approach. Hi Keir, I thought I had posted the response but obviously not! TLDR; It doesn’t work natively with Zwift…I bought the Runn and have been very happy with that. Programmes: 25 (15 pre-set unique workout programmes designed by a certified personal trainer, 3 user-defined, 3 countdown, 3 heart rate controlled, 1 body fat)

Reebok has opted to fit a sizeable 2.0 horsepower motor that can take the belt up to a maximum speed of 18kph (11mph) which is an upgrade on the original Jet 100 (which maxed out at 10mph) and that should be enough for most users unless you happen to be an already a seasoned runner that likes to compete. Otherwise, this is plenty enough speed to make normal humans break a sweat and the motor makes pretty light work of anything that’s asked of it, even when set to the maximum incline level. The motor is as quiet in operation as there’s a right to expect and it really doesn’t seem to strain at all which is an encouraging sign in terms of longevity. The DKN EzRun Treadmill is powered by a 3.5 HP motor and that allows you to run at a very fast pace with the motor being your competitor. The incline can be adjusted from 0-12% as this can add some challenge to your workout routine. While you run your speed, pulse, distance, time and calories burned can be displayed. I like the placement of the pulse rate sensors on the EzRun. They lean inwards in front of the console – so you won’t need to grab the arms in an unnatural running position. There is a safety key included as standard. The running belt measures up at 140cm in length which means even taller runners or those with a longer stride will be able to run comfortably on this treadmill. More impressive is the width of the belt which measures up at 52cm– making it one of the widest at this price point. The console is huge! We felt like Captain Kirk when faced with this space-aged control panel and blue screens, although it’s probably a lot easier to use than the one in the SS Enterprise :0) We liked the one-touch buttons to change speed and incline. This is a useful feature and far easier to alter settings when running fast rather than having to scroll down through the speeds.

Treadmills are only part of the range of fitness equipment produced by DKN. Here are some of the other products: While the console is simple (though works effectively), I recommend using an app on your own phone or tablet to get the best from the DKN EzRun. Options include Zwift, KinoMap or the iConsole+ from DKN. It reaches speeds up to 16km/h, which is fast enough for most, and it can ramp up or slow down the pace during the pre-set workouts (there are 36 in total) and your own routines. There are no incline or decline options, so it’s not one for advanced runners, but it is a reliable, affordable option for those who want to spice up their home workouts. The range of workouts can be enlarged by linking the treadmill to the Kinomap app. This software allows you to watch runners’ scenic videos from around the world while you run, as well as following workouts where the app can directly control the EnduRun.
