About this deal

The important thing is you have to find the focus aid or aids that work for you, and it’s worth noting that focusing at f1. It has a silver ring at the front which makes the style even more fitted with the whole vintage look that Fujifilm cameras roll with. For precise focusing i should always press the magnification button, and while i’m focusing i miss the whole frame 🙂 Then i’m going back to full view, framing again, then press the magnification, focusing, full view again, …. Wide compatibility: G1, G2, G3, G4, G5, G6, G7, GF1, GF2, GF3, GF5, GF6, GM1, GM5, GM10, GX1, GX7, GX8, GH1, GH2, GH3, GH4; Olympus Epm1, Epm2, E-PL2, E-PL3, E-PL5. When adjusting focus, an element moves inside the lens, which creates a pressure difference or vacuum on one side of that element.

There was also some dust in the lens when I got it and after only a few more days a lot more appeared. Coatings are better, and adapting a lens nearly always adds in softness or internal reflections that cut the image quality.

I found the overall balance to be even a little better than with Fuji’s own XF 23mm f2 mounted on my X-T2. a bit beside the point but as a Leica user i cant help but recognize that your site has become very Fuji biased. As the night sky do not have straight lines in the sky, to de-fish (or to correct fish eye lens distortion) is not as difficult and more forgiving if there are mistakes. Plus, there’s nothing loose here or anything that would make me feel like it’ll fall apart anytime soon.

I suspect it’s likely something to do with the focus plane not being calibrated properly in the manufacturing process. I was able to get some pretty nice shots that I'm happy with in the 2 years I've had this lens, and I regularly pick it up instead of my 23mm f/2 which I think is telling. In comparison, my Voigtlander 35mm Nokton Classic lens has an overly sensitive focus ring with a short throw, making fine adjustments difficult to nail. The technical storage or access is strictly necessary for the legitimate purpose of enabling the use of a specific service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user, or for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network. It can be used on full-frame cameras like the Sony A7r III, but it will only have a circle of projection large enough to cover the APS-C portion of the sensor and you would need to put the camera in Super 35mm crop mode. You can still get tack sharp images in the center of the frame or if you focus stack multiple images in post, but don’t expect this ultra budget lens to compete with more expensive brands. However, for the times when I am shooting wide open, I found focus peaking isn’t enough; so I’ll magnify the image in the viewfinder, and use it with focus peaking. which means it’ll see a lot of time on a camera given that the focal length makes it such a great all-around lens.

may not quite match more expensive lenses in these areas, the quality is much better than I expected from a 35mm equivalent f1. The front filter size is 46mm, which is that odd diameter in between the 43mm some Fujifilm lenses (that I have) use like the 23 and the 35mm f/2 and the more common (especially in film era lenses) 52mm thread. If the Chinese wants to do it and made the effort to do so, they can hit the high quality standards that we enjoyed in products from Europe and Japan. version, plus the extra cost of an OM-M43 adapter comes in at 3 to 9-times the cost of the new "generic" M4/3 option.

There are little spots of something, I’m assuming cement on the inside of the lens, and when you open the aperture and look inside, you can see the cement all along the edges of the lens.Previously, I just like the idea of one zoom lens that is capable of a wide range of scenarios, no faff. Flare control is surprisingly good - but as with all mirrorless sensors, a lenshood designed for "50mm standard" lenses is a wise investment on a 25mm lens.
