The end result is a breathtakingly phenomenal comic book come to life that only gets more impressive and thrilling as it progresses. The audio experience in the first film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was one of the best we’ve heard in recent years, so like the movie itself we we expected high quality in ‘Across the Spider-Verse” both in the theaters and at home. One of the film's standout features is its introduction of new Spider-People from different dimensions, each with unique abilities and quirks. And as nice as it is to have the MCU under one roof at Disney, it’s actually not such a bad thing that Sony still has its own Spider-Man rights.

Across the Spider-verse ups the ante and the story telling to ecstatic levels, with everything coming together to produce a perfect whole. That also holds true for the home media presentations of the movie, especially in 4k UHD and Dolby Vision.

After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence.

Interestingly, Lord and Miller were hired to make The Flash back in 2015 before Andy Muschietti took over the project. You should reward their efforts by purchasing the most expensive presentation of the movie available, namely the 4K disc, as it puts even the digital version to shame. The animated style (for those nitpicking) is a bit marmite - I didn’t mind it but some people may not gel with it - and some of the multiverse concepts might go over smaller children or casuals heads.Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ rejoins Miles Morales, now acting as Brooklyn’s full-time Spider-Man while trying to balance his school and family life with his superhero activities. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders, and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

An emotional rollercoaster that draws you in and takes you to on a ride you won’t forget – if only it had some sort of conclusion rather than stopping mid-sentence to be continued in part 3.The soundtrack to “Across the Spider-Verse” was created by Daniel Penderton who is also known for the “Into the Spider-Verse” as well as The Bad Guys. beautifully balanced, with rich primaries, inky black levels, revealing delineation, and vibrant, uncrushed reds.
