This isn’t quite a party game, but it is close: there are frequently laugh-out-loud moments around the table.

Before the beginning of a new journey, if any player has reached 50 points, the game ends imme- diately.

If the captain can't overcome the challenge, though, everyone comes crashing down empty-handed and you'll need to begin a new trip with all passengers on board. For example, you might jump ship early not because you think the captain can’t make it but because you’re next in line to be captain and either don’t have or don’t want to spend cards.

To mix things up a bit there are a couple of bonus power cards, such as a jet pack that allows you to float safely down to the island below even when the ship is crashing and burning or wild cards that can be used against any obstacle. The “alternative route” card allows a reroll of the dice of the captain’s choice after all passengers have spoken.I do like as the Captain rolling the dice, fanning out my cards, look at the dice, looking at the cards, looking at the dice, looking at the cards again… then looking VERY confident… Everyone stays on the Airship… then I declare I don’t have the cards and we all crash… Ha! That player may rejoin the ship but must give up the treasure they got when they disembarked that round. The art style is whimsical, reminiscent of a favourite children’s book, with each of the available crew members bearing wide, happy grins, so eager are they to embark on their journey to fame and fortune.
