About this deal

I had approached Serge Lutens with Tubéreuse Criminelle, but too hard for me; I discovered Giorgio Beverly Hills not long ago, who seduced me despite his flashy aura that I find softened. Apparently, this new, certified scent underwent at least a couple of reformulations after year 2007, due to IFRA restrictions. Floral fragrance with the tuberose as the absolute protagonist, the most representative in the history of world perfumery. You’ll probably join me then in being a very tiny minority who adores poor, much-maligned Amarige, Mr. And its modern die-hard fans range from such polar opposites as: Madonna to Martha Stewart, Ivana Trump to Courtney Love, Princess Caroline of Monaco to Bianca Jagger.

The enticing fragrance opens with notes of fresh citrus and pear that sparkle over the delicate, blossoming heart of tuberose and white flowers – underpinned with musk and sandalwood that build a warmth, ending in a surprising crescendo of smooth chocolate. It was the 1970s, we lived in Cannes in a villa on the side of the mountain, overlooking the whole city below. BTW, for orange blossoms, you will probably want to try Serge Lutens’ Fleurs d’Orangeur or something. His fragrances tell stories of other places and times but remain enduring classics, coveted for their provocative allure and distinctive character. However, I remain quite entertained by his views and often read bits and pieces on my ipad while standing in line. Prior to this I had never heard of this perfume or the house that produces it, but it is considered by many afficionados to be the ultimate tuberose fragrance that perfumers since have been trying and failing repeatedly since 1947 to hold a candle to. I would argue that along with Carnal Flower and Truth or Dare this is the ultimate tuberose, a flower I am obsessed with it would seem! Fortunately I found a full bottle stamped original formulation in a dusty parfumerie on the rue de rivoli, so I didn’t have to go without for long.

That might be something you’d like as it was made not too long ago for younger women who weren’t ready for the original. The fragrance was not the same, the power was not there, it was like a watery ghost of the fragrance I have loved for many years. Cellier made Fracas four years after the release of her Bandit, that infamous, legendary leather chypre that is the black light to Fracas’ white one. Since you’re in India and can’t get these samples delivered to you within a week the way I can in the US, I would recommend trying out larger sizes to make the time and wait worth your while. And Cellier's scents have been especially vulnerable because she was a chemist by training and often used then-cutting-edge synthetic bases, which later on ceased to be produced. It took a certain amount of time to completely re-orchestrate the scent, and finally to relaunch it, in 1998, with the prestigious label of the " original Fracas formula, certified by Givaudan". I'm a woman but the idea sounded intriguing stirring up visions of a masculine edgy tuberose sex machine. It is mature and is good for transferring into the more womanly feminine (opposed to girly) perfumes. The extrait version is said to be creamier, richer and more balanced than the louder eau de parfum version.
