I would recommend this book series because it gives you a feel for the struggles in the life of a middle school student. In the previous books Jamie was orphaned by a car accident killing his mom, dad, and his little sister Jenny. People that i would recommed this book to are people who like funny things ,and people who like comedy. I recommended this book to my friends and my school librarian and now our most popular reads are books by James Patterson!

Which I was never allowed to have as a child, although we frequently had Apple Jacks, which are really no better. If we all took our problems and threw them into a pile next to other people’s and saw what they had to deal with, we’d grab our own problems back as fast as we could. I don't usually find myself laughing at books but this one had me cracking up quite a few times actually. I loved this book because I feel like the series is getting better because Jamie wins The Funniest Kid in the world award. When he finds out about the contest for the Funniest Kid on the Planet, he realises it’s time to face the music and prove himself. This is the follow-up to author Helen Rutter’s debut The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh, which was the standout success of 2021 and Waterstone’s Book of the Month. But in the majority of this book all this new found fame seemed to get the better of him and make him a complete jerk.
