If Welch had invested more time on that instead of the half-hearted attempts to create some romance, this would be a different review entirely. Both have been comfort, easy reads for me, and I was so happy to see there’s an additional one, this time set in Santorini, Greece. She also thought she’d signed divorce papers when the graduation caps were tossed, and they both went on their merry ways. Her dad’s teenage film assistant, Theo, helps Liv navigate these feelings, while the two try to calm the chemistry between them.Dax knew her from kindergarten, which was how it worked for most of the people in his prep school—I’d learned quickly that rich Seattle was small Seattle. What was nice, however, was that the books (Love and Gelato, Love and Olives, and Love and Luck) are connected, but not a series, not unlike Stephanie Perkins’s trilogy.
