I can use the saw upside down presumably if its easier to cut upwards, but the arch over the pathway has several awkward angles and I would like to be able to cut ON the join line to replace easier where just a few sections need renewing. we tend to go for an inexpensive brand with a good reputation but opt for the better blades and chains. Looking at the DeWatt saw that you showed, it looks great, but I think I have got used to the 'long thin' dimensions, rather than the gun shape. Hi, can anyone recommend a good quality reciprocating saw that can cut a variety of materials wood, plastics etc? I presume that Scorpion type saw with its deeper blades are more accurate than reciprocating saw (who blades seem to wave about a lot more). Remember, it’s not always the electric saw itself but the blades you choose to cut with, although in the case the Mac Mac Allister did not disappoint!
