About this deal

Soulstice is a competent hack and slasher with a solid core concept and an interesting world history that remains somewhat under-explored.

In addition, you can also refund Lute’s skills to respec her, which helps as the attacks she uses during combat are based on her unlocked skills and her rapture ability depends on what skills she has.

Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you. Soulstice is designed where you can’t get every skill on your first playthrough, but you can still complete the game without going back to grind at least on Normal (or Initiate) difficulty.

The answers come eventually, but to be honest, they were very predictable and not very interesting when they did. I haven’t played Devil May Cry in years, so I can’t say how Soulstice’s encounters compares to DMC (though I don’t remember feeling overwhelmed or annoyed), but I did play Bayonetta this year. It’s supposedly extremely harmful to Briar, something that will boggle her mind and corrupt her soul after too many uses.

Initiate difficulty I found only just manageable, and even then was frequently shown the game over screen towards the end of the game. Subject to regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority and limited regulation by the Prudential Regulation Authority. Full of style and substance, Soulstice is a joy to play, with tight, fast-paced combat and slick controls that make this an easy recommendation to anyone interested in a new hack and slash title.

Briar’s weapon can shape-shift, moving from sword, to hammer, to gloves, to bow, to whip, in the blink of an eye. Battle Different Enemy Classes - A vile mix of Wraiths, Corrupted and Possessed, have poured into the world from beyond the Veil. Lute also provides fields – large translucent domed areas surrounding Briar just to make combat a lot more complicated. There are slight puzzle elements involving the red/blue fields, with crystals blocking the way which need the right field to be destroyed or dispersed crystals all being linked to one big one but there’s nothing too tricky. It’s a shame because Briar and Lute look interesting and their backstory and links with the main story could have been fascinating. Its combat system is unique in the way it asks players to actively monitor mechanics while also avoiding enemy attacks and dishing out flashy combos in true character action game fashion. The skill trees for both Briar and Lute are quite large so you’ll need to find all the extra crystals you can too. The amount of content just within the combat is jaw-dropping, so much so that it feels like Reply Game Studios aren’t saving anything for a sequel. One look at any trailer will tell you this game aspires to be like the PS2 character action games of yesteryear.Even Briar and Lute, who constantly are attempting to avoid succumbing to corruption and transforming into monsters themselves, look super cool when they occasionally lose that battle. Lute not only will attack more as Unity builds up, but you will be able to do Synergy Attacks once it’s high enough. This only seems to take hold when one is on the verge of death as a Chimera is made up of a living half with superhuman strength and a ghost, or Shade, half with mystical powers. Through Briar and Lute’s bond, they can activate Unity, which only occurs once you successfully hit a certain number of attacks.
