About this deal

This was one of the fastest reads I’ve done in quite a while which should demonstrate how much I loved it. We were reading it together and it’s a pretty interesting story, with some plot twists and well written. I think I’ve sort of gotten used to unnecessary romance at this point since that’s what I’ve started to expect! There’s always something different in her books, a twist, a funny detail, a fresh intake on a common story or fantastical creature. But it is when two young girls are reported missing in quick succession that the Denton crime wave reaches terrifying heights.

As Torin helps her maneuver through the bride trials, she is met with snarky rivals and a mysterious assassin intent on plucking off the competition. She understands why her father, who has been the only human being that she has met told her to stay inside the apartment. Perfect for fans of The Selection series who are looking for something spicier, deadlier, and with fae and magic!

Whichever you choose, we hope you enjoy being part of your unique reading community – happy reading everyone! I say almost, because although both her mother and father are dead, her father built robots and somehow left a piece of him inside one so that sometimes the robot is just that, a robot. Christine is from Lexington, Massachusetts and has had a lifelong interest in New England folklore--with a particular fondness for creepy old cemeteries. The people she meets along the way and the horrific sights she endures fight against the hope she carries within her.

N. Crawford really did an amazing job at making the smallest, most unimportant characters still SO unlikeable, wow. On the night of her birthday her boyfriend cheats on her and she ends drunk in a bar and meets Torin, the Seelie King.

And obviously, this is a fantasy romance read, so I can't get away with not saying anything about the romance between Torin, the Seelie king, and Ava. Ava what a FMC, I really liked her POV and her character arc has been very enjoyable and I am excited to see what the next sequence will bring for her development.

We get the feeling pretty early on that there's something *sPeCiAL* about her, and usually I don't like it when the FMC is so different because she dares to speak up.

This book will most definitely be my favorite book for a very long time i would love to see a part 2 to this book!
