Currently stands as my absolute favorite project of 2023, a monumental achievement for all the members involved. There are some more tender moments, like the touching and incredibly open “Emily, I’m Sorry” or the folky meanderings of “Cool About It”, but It’s the contrast from these pieces to the more dynamic overdriven behemoths that really show their comparative merits all the more clearly. Never have I heard an album so easily able to shake me to my core, and yet so deeply cathartic and powerfully uplifting. The CD arrives a in six-panel, plastic-free digipak package, and includes a 24-page poster folder zine.

If you're already a fan, don't miss out on securing the album on one of two limited edition colour vinyl formats, or, if you're discovering the group for the first time (jealous! the record' is a shining example of the magic that can happen when truly exceptional musicians come together to create something truly special. The band will play London's Gunnersbury Park on Sunday 20 August and The Piece Hall Halifax on Tuesday 22 August. Only annoying to people like me who like to collect the lyric books, however I will keep the CD as otherwise it is perfect. the record' LP is pressed on black vinyl and features gatefold packaging, a temporary tattoo, and 24-page zine.
