That’s why I will remember Can you keep a Secret as a book that made me laugh – actually made me laugh out loud – and not as the one with the greatest male character ever (although he was nice too, if it wasn’t for the big tv-exposure…), but that is fine. But come Monday morning, Emma’s office is abuzz about the arrival of Jack Harper, the company’s elusive CEO. Monday morning comes as a big horrifying surprise for Emma, when she comes face-to-face with Jack himself. After hearing all of Emma’s secrets, it’s obvious that he never forgot any of it and there’s always an underlining message in his speech.I’ve always had this deep down conviction that I’m not like everybody else, and there’s an amazingly exciting new life waiting for me just around the corner.

Confession of a Foodaholic: Okay, I tried to come up with a few talking points, just to help get a discussion off the ground. In the ambitions and aspirations of Emma, she sees this as her opportunity to transcend from assistant to an executive. Kinsella’s main characters are well developed—with the exception of the handsome stranger and one of Emma’s flatmates, both for very distinctive reasons—and there’s a poignancy within that adds rather than takes away from the plot because the author’s management style knows not only when to restrain an angle or move it into another direction.

She’s not had much luck in her career choices, she has a cousin who takes the limelight and a boyfriend she’s completely in love with… or so she thinks. But her personal life is in a dreadful muddle and Emma is ready to cry real tears—when Jack steps in to make things all better.
