For all the uncertainty the dice add to the outcome, they sacrifice an awful lot of tactical, strategic and logistical complexity. In all honesty, every time I set up Champions of Midgard I get excited and think ‘I am going to have a blast here’ and I do but just not as much as I do when I play Waterdeep.
