Seamlessly blending shoegaze, post punk, new wave, industrial and noise with unparalleled depth and weight, the album was originally released by Enemies List Home Recordings founded by HANL members Dan Barrett and Tim Macuga. Like previous issues of the album, it comes with a zine that “[details] the dark and forgotten history of the Antiochean cult, and blurring the lines between novella, liner notes and academic text.

Six years after its release the band followed up with 2014's stunner The Unnatural World, and by then Deathconsciousness had become a force of influence and fanatic obsession. In 2008, Have A Nice Life released their now cult classic Deathconsciousness LP to a whimper and critical non-interest. excellent record, there's been a good effort remastering this but I feel like if they truly want to make a well mixed/produced record they need to remake it entirely.All image and audio content is used by permission of the copyright holders or their agents, and/or according to fair dealing as per the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. It comes with mo fi anti-static sleeves, a nice glossy cover, and very cool gatefold with facts about the recording of the album, and a fascinating booklet that comes with the record.

The sound quality of this record is bass heavy, clear when it needs to be, noisy when it needs to be and sounds really good.

Blurring the lines between novella, liner notes, and academic text, the zine itself presents an engrossing narrative. The album has since floated in and out of production, with the last instantly out of print vinyl pressing occurring in 2009. The corresponding album is rhythmic, primal, and expansive, and is a gloomy-post-punk masterpiece-a mediation on death, loss, and existence.
